I disagree…. Hooker is a qb bc of trendsetters like condredge…. Old guys like myself remember condredge and players that played with him… The younger fans like my son do not… Hooker and Condredge in the same story helps bridge that gap, imo.I love what Condredge did for the university as a player and what he’s done ever since in an admin role, but this little gesture seemed pointless. Hooker was not alive when Condredge was donning the T and probably had never watched a second of his film before sitting there. They probably could’ve done better by having someone featured who actually remembers Condredge as a player. Maybe another VFL from years past talking about his importance.
while i won't ever say losing is good, i will say that had we found ourselves on the right side of all those games and won 10 games, the hype for this season would have been ridiculous, and likely, not sustainable. being that close, regardless of what side of the w/l you're on....usually means you're a play or 2 away from either result. Not disagreeing, but just speaking to the 4-5 win expectation.
While I think we slightly went over expectation, it was not by that much. Vegas and FPI were at 6.5 and 6. I was at 6.6 wins. All regular season.
Js, the narrative that anyone besides a few negavols here had us at 4 or 5 wins is not accurate (though I'm sure there's some rando media member that had it). Most realized Heupel was a good enough coach and 3-7 in 2020 (with 3 SEC wins) was clearly a 6-7 win season in a regular year.
I was over a hundred pages behind. I realized that there were way more posts in the RF about non Tennessee games than the Tennessee Volunteers.
I said WTF and started skimming. Then I realized that it was only getting worse. I thought eff it and went to the end of the thread, backed up some pages and ta-da here I am.
I brought 15-0with me.
Next year is the year that may be tough to meet expectations...IF we win 9-10 this year people will be expecting us to win the east...with half of UGAs talent.while i won't ever say losing is good, i will say that had we found ourselves on the right side of all those games and won 10 games, the hype for this season would have been ridiculous, and likely, not sustainable. being that close, regardless of what side of the w/l you're on....usually means you're a play or 2 away from either result.
we saw enough last year to say things are definitely pointed in the right direction and to be excited about this offense going forward, while still over achieving, even if only by a little bit.
this year, i think expectations are relatively realistic with the floor being 7, and ceiling likely 10. i also think that if we are the team we think we're capable of being, maybe we start to see some separation in those games that were a play or two away.... i do think this game saturday is important, i thin it's one of the games we'll have the opportunity to see some of that separation.
anyway...
Sir, would you love some spotted dvck? Not sure if that was the exact quote, but used to think that was funny as all get out as a kid.Something kind of like this has already happened once … with the result being hilarious antics!

yup. that's why i think this year is relatively important to show improvement over last year. i don't think we'll suck next year, but threre'll be positions of significance that will experience turnover, so there'll be a lot of question marks going in to next season, starting with QB1. so that'll be fun. lol.Next year is the year that may be tough to meet expectations...IF we win 9-10 this year people will be expecting us to win the east...with half of UGAs talent.
I can’t believe people still actually care about the royal family
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds played there when I was around. Of course, my desire to be sandwiched in like a sardine with strangers in an alcohol induced stooper dissuaded. When I lived in Wilson I could see them out of my front window. Of course I lived above a garage and paid a perverse amount for rent but still that was nice. I saw Maceo Parker(James Brown sax player) at the Moose. That was a blast.
