What does the Queen actually do? Is that family just for show or do they have legitimate power in terms of making laws or commanding the military, etc. I know they're powerful, but. . . just curious.

Haha......That brings up a personal pet-peeve of mine.

I only say "our" in refrence to Austin Peay, because I went there and played a sport there. I do get it that fans say "our." I just personally can't with UT.

well, I went to UT and I played sports…intramural flag football and one game of intramural indoor soccer. Lol

The way I understand it, it's just for show. I'm not a fan of the royal family but I've always liked her. Not sure why. She comes off as a tough old bird.

They form the government “in her name”. There were very many surprisingly important things that had to go through her. Not everything but several delicate/ important items.

I have family from London (turned Vols) and they educated me real quickly.

My wife has watch lots of documentaries about her and the royal family. She was saying she really hope Queen Elizabeth skips Charles in her will and names William as the next King. She can't stand Charles for how he treated Diana.
