Gun control debate (merged)

Sure. If you look at the countries that consistently have the lowest crime rates these are countries that have much more strict and common sense gun laws than the US.
Wait. That explanation includes absolutely nothing about rednecks which seemed to be the main point of your original statement. Surely you have more to offer in support of that statement?

Oops. Read the rest of the thread and saw you are actually fairly ignorant on the topic. Never mind.

I find it interesting that you only think a certain political party has a 2nd amendment right or should try and keep the government from restricting our rights . My love of firearms was nurtured by an entire family of blue blood democrats . Lol
I don't only think that, but I'm sure you would agree that one party is much more of an advocate for the unfettered "right" to bear arms while the other party is for some form of gun legislation.

Is living in a country with a low crime rate automatically desirable? Saudi Arabia, China and Iran all have lower crime rates than we do. I bet NK does too. There’s a difference between living in a free society and living in a crime free society.

I know this won't really work with your narrative, but below are the 8 safest countries in the world:
  • Iceland
  • Denmark
  • New Zealand
  • Norway
  • Austria
  • Slovenia
  • Japan
  • Qatar

Haha!! If someone doesn't agree with you they're ignorant.
No, when they post superficial statistics and draw a stupid conclusion from them, they are ignorant.

Your claim (summarized): all the rednecks with guns in America drive up the gun violence/murder rates well above other countries, supported by the statistic that US gun violence/murder rates are well above other countries. While not said, the underlying supposition is that rednecks own the bulk of the guns in America an argument we will assume, for the moment, is true.

Actuality is (once one does the research in the FBI crime statistics): if one removes black gun violence/murders from the statistics, the US falls right into the middle of our peer, for example, European countries.

Now if your contention, left unsaid, is that blacks were included in the term rednecks, well, you got me.

We just want actual gun control that would save lives without restricting rights.

No gun legislation yet proposed would save lives. If you believe gun violence has been on the rise if you believe it has been for a while. In the 90s we made acquiring automatic weapons, silencers, short barrels and a bunch of stuff prohibitively difficult and expensive. What happened since then? Gun crime went up, even though the government largely removed those guns.

The guns the government wants to ban are only responsible for less than 1% of gun deaths.

Yall wont stolen until they are all gone. Which is why we have a no step back policy. It also doesnt help that your representatives arguing the case believe utter tom foolery like 9mm will blow your lungs out, AR15 bullets shoot 5x faster than any other gun, and AR15s make bodies disappear. And those were all stated in this year. So yes, ignorance.

Sorry, fyp.

Do tell. I think I know what you're going to say, but want you to post it.
Average median income is much higher in most of those countries. Only Iceland and Qatar had lower.

And both of those countries have a much closer cost of living to median income than we do. Pur COL is almost 2x median income. While they are barely above 100%

the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I noticed you wrapped the word, right, in quotations. Unfortunately for gun grabbers like yourself, the constitution reads differently.

However, if we had stricter gun laws, then gun violence would be reduced across the board whether white, black, etc., as evidenced by some of the countries with the lowest crime rates in the world having stricter gun laws. Stricter gun laws equal less gun violence. I think that is not debatable, so the issue is how much is your unfettered “right” to bear arms really worth to you. If it’s worth thousands of innocent American lives every year, including children, then just say it.

It has nothing to do with narrative and more about what you are leaving out. Right? You are being a dishonest person in my opinion.

Where I live I wouldn't doubt the gun to person ratio is like 4 to1. LOL Everyone has one, two or more. Half the people carry. Yet, almost no gun violence or crimes. Now, go through the woods and over the mountains a hour or so to the inner city. The gun to person ratio is probably much less yet the crime rate and gun violence rates are very high. Now why is that?

Bad people don't care about gun laws see inner cities and if you want a real good example outside the United States i.e. Mexico.

I’ll say it. Yes it is.

We have a people problem not a gun problem, solve the problem with people being violent and you solve the gun violence problem.
