When we missed on Verse, Spyre was just beginning to establish their footprint. IF they had opened up to donations at that point from the common fan, it wasn't well publicized. My guess is they were dealing with the bigger boosters at that point. If we missed on Verse over NIL, my guess is because we didn't want to match the deal FSU was offering. Not that we couldn't, but we didn't. Sometimes, other collectives are going to be willing to pay more. It doesn't necessarily mean we couldn't match. Sometimes we'll just choose not to match. Players are going to have different valuations. Some schools will value a player more than others.

This is what I was saying during the game. They don't have more cash at FSU than Tennessee. They chose to put more into verse than we cared to at that time.

What did he do? He seems to be able to get involved with everything…. A former coach tweeted about how popular he was with players…. Jabari Davis personally invited him to come to his football camp…. He doesn’t bother me as much as he does some but that just seems bizarre to me.
