A player will always decide to play if it's up to them. It's the job of the coach/training staff to look out for the player's best interest. That was irresponsible.

Second time same thread you are an idiot. Simple fact is news cycles and 3 hour time difference for sports coverage. I do not ever look for the scores or Oregon and by the time I would it is replace with NFL coverage. USC gets the West coast news on the East Coast. Not Oregon. Heisman voting polls. UT schedule, conference, and existence alone gets more West Coast media than Oregon.

Agree. Nothing shows negligence and desperation more than jeopardizing a player's career by allowing him to play when all medical indications are that he should not. How can a player say, even though the coach said it was up to me, I decided not to play to protect my career interests in playing football after the pro bono period (assuming Nike does not pay them at Oregon) ends?

"Leaving it up to the player" is a total wimpy cop-out on the part of the coaching staff. To then credit them for helping keep the NFL updated on his injury status is simply unethical on wheatun's part.

This is precisely the type of negligence that could keep a player like BB out of the League.

It's also a strong reason why he shouldn't sign with such a desperate program who is willing to sacrifice an athlete's career in their quest to rise above their inevitable status as a 2nd-tier pac10 team.

Was it ever determined or stated who, parent or parents or Bulter, attended with Brown on his visit.

The parents are part of the recruiting process just like the recruit. It would be interesting to know who attended the weekend with Brown. I am assuming it was the dad based on the comments quoted by JZ.

The poster is now backing off of their info. He's saying it was either Orson or Bryce's uncle. He can't remember which.

ESPN didn't sign a multi-billion dollar contract with the Pac-10 to cover its sports for the next 15 years. Maybe you could debate this claim in the past, but it's clearly no longer up for discussion. This works entirely in the favor of UT in regards to Brown's decision.
