Tennessee favored by 4.5 over Pitt

By my calculating methods, I got Pitt at - 2.5. On the UT @ -4, I got Pitt to cover. Who wants some of that action?

Skovis has over 300 yard passing put of the 5 sacks Pitt's o-line gave up 3 of them were on Skovis because he held on to the ball to long. The Right side of Pitt's o-line struggled do much that the starting right guard and right tackle got replaced in the second half, including the game tying drive that tied the game at 31. The defensive line played like trash most of the night and the linebackers missed tackles that led to huge WVU runs. Pitt's starting left defensive end Deslin Alexandre broke his hand in the game last week vs WVU. John Morgan III came right of the bench and had 2 of Pitt's 3 sacks including a sack on the final sequence of plays as WVU was driving to tie the game. Pitt's DB's are not big. Erick Hallett the Starting SS is on 5"11. MJ Devonshire who caught the tip ball and returned it for the winning score vs WVU is only 5'11. Pitt's starting corners AJ woods and Marquis Williams only 5'11 and 5'9. That's extremely important because the way Narduzzi plays his corners they will constantly be in man to man coverage. Remember last year Joe Milton had at 3-4 wide open receivers and completely overthrew them. Tennessee is going to get at least 3-4 big play against Pitt's corners. The question is can they protect Hooker and get a lot more? If they can this game could be be a rout.

He also coaches them to hold on every play too. Hopefully the get all the flags they deserve Saturday.

Do we know which conference the officiating crew will be from? Someone said it was ACC refs last year vs Pitt. Will it be SEC refs this year or is that not how it works?

Probably a dumb question but how is a #26 team favored to beat a #17 team on the road.

I guess Vegas thinks the polls are trash?

It’s early in the season so polls and/or Vegas can make a mistake. If this happens in Oct or later Vegas knows something and you better lay the points. If it stinks then, there’s usually a reason.

go back and look at the stupid polls that had us ranked outside the top twenty-five. Some of us got it right and the current line supports that fact. I, for one, said we would not be underdog to several teams ranked above us. (although lots of folks did not take us seriously) I also said, and still think, we will know what we got about half way through the second quarter against Pitt.

Exactly what I have thought. Sat. game imo will tell us where we are at as a team. If we werre to win by 14, barring injury we will have a good season. Don't see us beating ga or bama, but fla a tossup playing at home. If we were to get beat Sat. I predict 7 and 5 if we win easily we could have a 10 win season.

Pitt will use this as extreme disrespect to have them and their crowd extra fired up. This is a trap game in every way.

Pitt usually can't fill their stadium.

52 Pitt
5-Year Attendance Average: 43117.80
 - Filled Stadium Capacity 63.04%

The only reason it was filled for the last game was the renewal of the Backyard Brawl after 11 years of not playing it. WV campus is only 75 miles away. Don't expect a big crowd for this game.

I locked in at -4.5 for the game then I doubled down with -2.5 in the first Q and 1st half money line and UT solo over 37.5… UT will make me some good money this year… a bettors dream high powered aggressive offense with 6th year senior in complete command… our lines will climb all year. Better catch them on the first day. I also locked in another with UT -4.5 at half and -6.5 for the game… We should’ve ran away from Pitt early last year and I feel hooker will take advantage this year.

That line is now -7 at Caesars according to what I just saw at halftime of the Clemson vs GT pillow fight .
