I think some of you have been unfair to jump on ivtec_jrod for bringing up the troops, etc. He has a point. Playing football, imo, is a privileged opportunity that very few people have. I'm pretty sure that most people would like it if the profession they chose produced all of the adulation and perks that come with being a sports star at any level. The entire sport of football wouldn't even exist without fan interest and them spending hard-earned dollars supporting it. To dismiss the fans, in any context, is kind of a breach of contract, imo. It's like working as a spokesperson for McDonalds but saying publicly that you hate their burgers, you're just in it for the salary.

That said, I don't really hold the comment against Brown. I can only imagine the harsh comments he has undoubtedly come across over the process. I would be irritated by that too. Plus, it's not like he's some media savvy hollywood actor that knows what to and what not to say in interviews. I think most of us are used to the luxury of being able to clarify or adjust our statements right away in a conversation if it didn't come out right. So, imo, got to give the kid some leeway there.

I just hope that someone advises him that, if you are going to diss the fans, you want to be careful to designate who or a behavior instead of all of them. Would have sounded a lot better to say that "the haters aren't the ones who have to live with my decision. The good fans get that."

I'm friends with the girl too. It's Lacey Pearl Earps, his hostess while he was here, and he did post a video on her wall. It seems like he has a pretty big crush on her.

Says stuff like "Laying in bed thinking about you", "your boo", "laying in our bed".

And their "married" to each other on facebook.

Obviously can't hurt our chances.

Marlon Brown's girlfriend received a scholarship at UGA, and that supposedly had nothing to do with that decision. Although, I really don't like to mention his name now.

Yes, I now fantasize about Marlon Brown having a dissaster career in ugly athens...but my bitterness may fade if Bryce Brown comes.

I am not gonna reading too much into this, but it doesn't hurt our chance for sure.

BTW, maybe it's the time for UT to pick up the "coed recruiting" techniques. Based on Meat Market, YOYO was a huge fan of this.

And, of course you know some guy who went to college and then got dumped, yadda yadda yadda, huh?

Can Phil Knight buy him this? Does having 1,458 uniform variations account for this? The answer is no, they can't. And you know it.

Likely, you've spent a considerable amount of time and energy scouring Facebook / the internet, hoping it's just some VN shenanigans or a really lame rumor, huh?
