or any one of the PP players for that matter. Somebody said their lists haven't been updated in a while......but Oku had been committed to UT for a long time!?!?!?!?

how would this become a pay site... its all fans there are no experts here...some do have some good info but mostly its opinion base... i would think nobody would pay for it but i could be wrong

The idea of making it a pay site is to keep the trolls away.

I would rather use my ignore list than pay...and sometimes they keep it interesting. We would also probably lose some of the insight we get from fans of other teams that are actually intelligent.

Brown unaware of scholarship expiration date

Bryce Brown told ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com he has not been informed by the Hurricanes that his offer has expired.

"Miami has not communicated that to me at all," Brown said. "Coach Shannon actually talked to my dad on Monday and my dad had a good conversation with him. After they touched base with each other, everything seemed to be alright."

Brown also responded to the criticism he's received from the drawn-out decision making process, "So just because people get mad and upset and think that I need attention, it's not like that. I've got to take the time to think about a decision that is going to affect me for the rest of my life. If people have a problem with that, oh well. I don't care because they don't have to get up and go to school every day. They don't have to get up and go to weights and conditioning and do all of that stuff. I'm the one that has to do that. All they have to do is sit back on the couch, eat popcorn, and watch us perform."

I really don't give a crap if he comes now. Bryce I would love for you to do what I do everyday or some of my friends that are currently in Iraq or Afghanistan right now. What an arrogant punk...

Dude is a kid, not even out of highschool, let it go. Times are changing. Who cares how the kid acts right now. Who's to say that he really said that and it is a bunch of media bs hype.

I understand your frustration, but his decision and the length it takes shouldn't effect us. I'm freaking glad that we have a shot at getting this kid. Let him take all the time he needs and be as arrogant as he wants to be, just leave Butler back home, that's all I ask.

I tend to agree. Tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he seems to be a little prick. I mean he is really, really good, just ask him.

Please stay on topic, so the mods don't have to come through here and delete a dozen posts. His comments had nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan.

I wish your friends the best by the way, what they do for this country is something that I myself take for granted. Great Men out there, GOD BLESS EM!:clap::clap:

I think alot of people aren't used to the kind of attention that this whole fiasco brings and that is why alot of people are up in arms. I myself, tend to probably be in the minority (maybe majority) when I say that his actions as of now have no bareing?? on what I think of this him.

Personally I don't think that we have anything to worry about RIGHT NOW, mainly because we haven't signed him yet, but ground rules will need to be set that is for sure if and when that happens.

The bad thing about this situation in my opinion is the cancer that is B. Butler. No matter if the guy has good intentions or not, one false step could cause a University, its fans, and coaches alot of grief. IMO:ermm:

Media don't typically go around making up direct quotes. I'd say you can feel comfortable that Brown said it.

With all due respect, what i'm trying to say is don't always believe what you hear.

You're right, but how do we now that is all that was said? I'd bet that 99% of what you read in the media is only going to reflect what it wants its readers to believe.

Which is why I believe this to be media hype. Let's give this kid the benefit of the doubt. He has to make a decisoin that will stick with him for at least 2 years.

I don't know what else to say other than GO VOLS!!!!:dance2:

I think the only thing that might turn me off about what he said is that last sentence...."I'm the one that has to do that..."

I hate to get on here and disect a person like that, but I want to play both sides of the ball. Had he just said, "WE are the ones that have to do that...."

I think it would have smoothed some things out, GO VOLS!!!!! Anyway, hate to see this blown out of proportion, but had to go there.

I swear there are some idiot post on here. What in the he11 does your friends fighting in a war have to do with Bryce Brown. He was specificly talking about people who are critical of him because he won't make a life changing decision on THIER time frame. And he is absolutely right, all any of us have to do is sit back and watch him perform. We watch maybe 30 hours of football from the stands or our livingroom a year and act like his decision is more important to us than it is to the kid who will commit at least 3 years, day in and day out, to a program.
Using your friends combat status is a BS argument to make you look somehow justifably outraged because this kid dares say that he doesn't care what people he doesn't know say about him or his decision making process. Grow up.

Yea, didn't understand the point either? Not going to bash the guy who said that, but I really didn't follow it either.

It is very frustrating for the fans of these schools to wait for the players to make their college choices, but they have every right to take their time to make that choice. It is a big decision for a 17 year old to have to make. I do disagree with the popcorn portion of the statement. I prefer chips and dip, or hot wings on game day.

Also agreed, but let's not bash the guy who made the argument. :good!: Let's play nice.

I would guess most people agree that this is an important decision for him. But I think the reality is, waiting until well into March to make a decision implies to some fans and media that Brown believes his decision is more important than the other 99.99% of players who signed their letters on time.

I think that everybody is just frustrated that 99.9% of college prospects had plenty enough time to "make the biggest decision in their life". It seems to me that he's trying to bunch into a couple of months...what every other kid started doing last summer. Too many people in this kid's head, imo!
