The hdd I'm talking about is 5400rpm. Read something that said it would be like 30x faster loading. I wonder if it makes editing software faster while in use, like the preview screen or if the best way to speed that up is ram?

Editing software would be ram and video card and cpu. Very little hdd.

Ok. I had just 8gb ram, ddr4 but only like 4.5gb available for use. I got 32gb (2x16) corsair vengeance ram. Hopefully that will help with a bit of the preview lag.

That should help for sure. Cpu would be the other main resource being used for that I think. Possibly some gpu but probably more cpu.
