He was an absolutely horrible QB and a program killer...that being said I wish him no ill will and I have always admired his toughness.Didn't see him play? Guy played well at times. Had awful awful coaching under the post-Helton era. Absolutely awful scheme for him. He would have actually flourished under Helton. Not saying a top college QB, nor an NFL stud. But he's enough to be on a practice roster. No small deal....given it's the freakin NFL.
Happy for the guy. He's as tough and VFL as they come. It's the haters that should turn in their fan cards. Pathetic folks that couldn't throw a ball 15 yards. Smdh
FollowingDo we have any HR people or hiring managers in the house?
From a new employee perspective, what's the best way to negotiate an increased salary and time off without coming off the wrong way? I've never worked for a type of company or in a position to negotiate, nor am I a pushy or salesman type. Need some good tips.
Don't want to burn any bridges and, honestly, I'd probably take the job even if they didn't budge an inch. But I think they will a bit and I'd like to at least try.
"Absolutely horrible" QBs don't see the field and throw a TD in the NFL...He was an absolutely horrible QB and a program killer...that being said I wish him no ill will and I have always admired his toughness.
That is just the f'n truth.
JG hasn't thrown a TD in the NFL. All of the QBs you listed could throw a TD in the fourth quarter of a preseason game."Absolutely horrible" QBs don't see the field and throw a TD in the NFL...
"Absolutely horrible" QBs are...
Nick Stephens
Justin Worley (sorry Worleybird)
AJ Suggs
Rick Clausen
Even Andy Kelly threw more INTs in his career than TDs and NOT ONCE threw more TDs than INTs in a season. Had a career 129 qbr and not once surpassed 132...while JG had 2 seasons in the mid 140s. But AK had elite defenses and rushing games...so people will see him as being better. It's crazy. Meanwhile, JG was matched with AWFUL OLs, defenses, and mediocre RBs...and awful coaches. He did what he could and tried, often shellacked and sacrificing his body.

Out of all of that, I knew someone would nitpick one sentence lol. Preseason vs exhibition, whatever. Let's just say no "absolutely horrible" football players even sniff the NFL. That's ridiculous. The greatest players on earth are out there.. to even get there isn't for absolutely horrible folks. Nor do they post 145 qbrs in the freakin SEC.JG hasn't thrown a TD in the NFL. We are talking about warm bodies out there while the coaches watch the clock more than the field.
Talk about playing out of your league. That's like Will Levis playing in the NFL. Basically a miracle.

Just be reasonable and ask. Coming from someone who has to make hiring decisions no one wants to have to start that process over if they already have a qualified candidate basically locked in.Do we have any HR people or hiring managers in the house?
