Yeah, thought they did a pretty good job with it. Really good pacing and cinematography, felt like some of the writing (dialogue) and acting wasn't amazing but it served its purpose to carry the story along.

Ultimately it's got a great look, the action sequences and fights were well done and the CGI was good. A bit better story than some other Predator movies too. Worth a watch, would have been a good theater experience too I think.
I watched it last night. I liked it. I thought it was odd that they gave the natives perfect western English accent, but I think I liked it better that way. Fake accents or subtitles wouldve messed the whole thing up.

As for the movie, it was good, better than I expected.

Opposing defenses this year

inbf 23 mph is the new let down.

Don’t trust our safeties enough for our defense to make that big of a jump. The plays were there for them to make key plays and they didn’t do it enough.

* if you get more pressure up front than last year, they might not have to.

The last tweet was from Jesse Simonton. He said "The moment that Tennessee's Offseason Hype Train hit Defcon 1."
He was at VQ for awhile. IMO, he very much let his non-Vol bias show. Just did not like him at all.
He was definitely the outlier among the group, as all of the others at VQ are Vol fans (even if Hubbs is an eternal pessimist).

Study says fastballs, not curveballs, wreck elbows

Here is an article on how I believe….Although, we are doing what I agree leads to arm injuries…. Trying to get as much velocity out of his arm as possible…. We are very careful about overusing his arm. My son throws a curveball, slider(Jacob Degrom version), 2 seam fastball, and a change up….. Mainly just throws heat in games…. Practice the others when he do bullpens.

That’s interesting. I’m just old school at age 42…and it’s from my experience. I pitched from age 8 to 14 consistently. Unless on an All-Star team, I was the first or second starter. My dad never let me throw a curveball, and I have never had arm problems. However, I also wasn’t overpowering and didn’t throw real hard. I walked few, threw strikes, used location, and had a natural drop at the plate with my fastball. Had innings of 3 pitches, 9 pitches striking out the side, and a no-hitter. But if my fastball wasn’t dropping, it was very hittable. I didn’t even try to play in high school because I was small in stature and couldn’t reach the necessary velocity. But it was a bunch of fun nights at the ball park growing up. My 12 year old is more interested in basketball although he is coming around for baseball. Enjoy it!

Most movies do this if they want the viewer to understand who the main characters are because ultimately the POV of the film is that of the Natives. Not the French or the Predator, so when the scene only had Natives in it we got the language barrier removed.

Warrior (TV Show on HBO Max) does this as well. Main story is about Chinese immigrants, so when the scenes only contain those characters the dialogue is modern American English. When the other characters are in the scenes (Irish or Anglo-Saxons) the Chinese characters speak Cantonese or their English is accented.

For Prey the only thing about them doing it that was kind of annoying is when they'd mix Comanche in with the English of the Natives. I also didn't like that the French dialogue was subtitled in French, if you want us to feel like the Natives and not understand their language that's fine...but don't add the subtitles in unless they are to show us what's being said.

The 25 most important players in 2022's College Football Playoff race

Spoiler quarterbacks

20. Hendon Hooker, Tennessee

If you buy into Tennessee's borderline top-10 SP+ projections, you could view Hooker and the Vols as longshot title contenders. But if that proves a bridge too far -- and it probably should -- there's still nothing saying they can't be a great spoiler. Tennessee should have one of the best offenses in the country, and Hooker is the perfect pilot, combining accurate passing (68% completion rate) with big-play potential (14.3 yards per completion) and a strong presence in the run game (6.1 yards per non-sack carry).

The Vols topped 40 points in seven of his 11 starts last year and could be even more dangerous this time around.

I coached my youngest brothers team when he was 13 and I was 20 taught him a really hard breaking curve and ruined his elbow. It's the worst pitch to learn young. Accuracy and speed manipulation is way more important.

Destroyed my arm throwing curves too. Elbow still throbs to this day.
