This is a pretty pointless comment. Not sure what do do with it, but I’ll give it a go.

It’s being talked about because she is a rather well known athlete who is about to be used as a pawn.

As to the people who have had similar happen to them in the US, I don’t doubt it. Show me anyone who has been nabbed for personal use weed and sentenced to 9 years, I’d make the same comment. That’s harsh.

somewhere along the way everything got to be Political.

Prob I have with my own Party is when given the football in the gut, we fumble right at goal line. For first time in years we have capability to show the World what we can do, what we believe in. But, of course, we let 1 member of our own Party stymie every possible action.

Further, the Right has played and is playing Chess while we play Checkers. All this woke anger and vitriol. See that they're playing political games, meanwhile lets get up and talk some more.

Rep's - Everything top to bottom is about power, money, and political gain. It's amazing how galvanized you are as a Party. I respect it. While Dems quibble over varying levels of liberalness, your common denominator is hatred of Dems.

Big difference between protesting against segregation vs these phony stories today.

Nine years seems very excessive. The media and social media has hurt Griner. Russia d.g.a.f. They will use her as a pawn and bargaining chip. Just another noose around the neck of this administration.

Hash oil is a manufactured substance and carries a much harsher sentence than just having a gram of flower. Not usually 9 years granted, but in many states it is a class IV felony (up to 2 years) just for simple possession of any amount, over a gram can be up to 10 years depending on the state. The laws are stupidly punitive and treat it the same as crack and heroin. The point of my comment was if Griner was a man from the inner city she would rot in jail in the U.S. and have a felony on record. She made some very bad decisions that placed her in this position, the first of which was going to Russia at all.

Why does it seem so hard for people to understand one simple little concept? If you go to a foreign country, you have to abide by their laws no matter how stupid you think the laws are there. If you think well its legal in the U.S. or I have a prescription for it, you are too ignorant to be leaving the country. Stay home with all the other stupid people.
