Why does she want to come back to America. She hates this country
AHH, I love the right's viewpoint on indvidual liberty amd Constitutional protections. It's an absolute stonewalled protection for every American, complete and total adherence to Const., as Citizens. Dont tread on me. Govt cant tell me what to do -One that hates America… Russia can keep her
I thought there was a Brittany Griner Thread somewhere ... haven't seen it .... so I'll put this here. A Russian court's verdict is she gets a 9 year sentence in prison. Also, she was fined 1 million rubles which = about $16,400 in American currency. President Biden pledges everything at his disposal to try to get her released from her Russian cell.
Brittney Griner trial: Russian court hands down verdict, sentence in WNBA star's case
If this were like Sean Hannity the outrage would be “how stupid, it’s just pot”AHH, I love the right's viewpoint on indvidual liberty amd Constitutional protections. as long as it fits my narrative.
protect our freedoms,

protect us from all enemies foreign and domestic,

She is an American Citizen. Ergo, deserves to be treated as such. Im guessing if that were you in a Russian prison, you'd probably want Joe Biden and the Demonrats to put aside dumbas political ideology and do the right thing?
Plenty of American citizens in jail/lives ruined in America for less. But for some reason when Russia does it it's national news.
This is a pretty pointless comment. Not sure what do do with it, but I’ll give it a go.
It’s being talked about because she is a rather well known athlete who is about to be used as a pawn.
As to the people who have had similar happen to them in the US, I don’t doubt it. Show me anyone who has been nabbed for personal use weed and sentenced to 9 years, I’d make the same comment. That’s harsh.
somewhere along the way everything got to be Political. If this were like Sean Hannity the outrage would be “how stupid, it’s just pot”
Yes flaws. The country is designed to allow citizens to protest in their own ways. Bet you would have been a hoot at a 60s lunch counter
Hash oil is a manufactured substance and carries a much harsher sentence than just having a gram of flower. Not usually 9 years granted, but in many states it is a class IV felony (up to 2 years) just for simple possession of any amount, over a gram can be up to 10 years depending on the state. The laws are stupidly punitive and treat it the same as crack and heroin. The point of my comment was if Griner was a man from the inner city she would rot in jail in the U.S. and have a felony on record. She made some very bad decisions that placed her in this position, the first of which was going to Russia at all. This is a pretty pointless comment. Not sure what do do with it, but I’ll give it a go.

Apparently a school teacher was busted in Russia with weed. He had a prescription but it didn't matter. He got 14yrs. He's angry because the Rice regime isn't trying to get him out.
