President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Atlanta is definitely thriving. And outside a very few places/situations you are going to be safe. Development Tour | Midtown ATL

3 out of 5 times I have been there I have been witness to, nearly been part of a crime. That was in 3 different areas in the city. Maybe I just got unlucky? 1 shooting, 1 burglary, 1 narrow escape from a gang assault after someone tried to sell me drugs.

President Joe Biden’s policies at the United States-Mexico border are attracting the most vulnerable and poorest foreign nationals, a new report details.

As most border crossers and illegal aliens are being directly released into the U.S. interior, the Biden administration is helping entice foreign nationals in the most desperate circumstances to make the often-deadly journey to the southern border. Most likely do not have valid claims for asylum.

A report from Noticias Telemundo Investiga details how border crossers and illegal aliens being released into American communities are increasingly arriving with nothing.

“I don’t have a dollar to live on,” one of 15 border crossers told Noticias Telemundo Investiga. In another case, a 70-year-old border crosser waited in line at a homeless shelter hoping he would be able to get a pair of underwear and a hot shower.

Executives with Catholic Charities, one of a handful of taxpayer-funded non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that helps facilitate illegal immigration, said about half the border crossers they are encountering are single adults who have no ties to the U.S.

The globalist elite has failed in doing in what we want. Their goal is gathering power & payoffs unto itself & that is their goal. If we're worried about feeding our families ... and they control the food ... then we are less likely to get uppity & demand our elite not suck.
If you vote Democrat you vote for baby shortages & auto burglaries, at least for the time being, until Democrats put a ban on private vehicles.

Everything Is Worse and You Are Just Supposed to Take It

Just what we need! More poor people! This is already starting to blow up in their faces big time with homeless shelters overwhelmed and the beginning of a recession. Dems will never be trusted again with border policy.

The fist bump really paid off...Joe is crushing it

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2022/08/03/opec-biden-oil-gas-saudi/

The OPEC Plus group of oil-producing nations plans to increase production by a scant 100,000 barrels daily, a move that is unlikely to have a major effect on U.S. gas prices despite the considerable political capital that President Biden expended to push the consortium in that direction.
Biden's official presidential music should be Yakity Sax.

Been here for 9.5 years, been that close to 1, and that was in a nice part of town. Been all over, even used to drink about a mile from the state pen. Your ratio makes warzones seem safe.

Like I said, maybe I got unlucky! I will never go there again unless I absolutely have no choice. Same for Chicago and D.C.

I’ve been pointing this out for years but here’s another good opportunity to do it with numbers.

Chicago gets all the attention because of the sheer number of murders each year, but it is not close to the highest in rate.

For example, put Baltimore’s rate on Chicago, and they would be dealing with almost 800 homicides a year.

Even Jussie Smollett isn't stepping out at 2am in Baltimore for a Subway sandwich.

Inflation Reduction Act would lead to $1,800 in savings for average household, analysis finds

LOL. This article just further illustrates how out-of-touch and tone deaf the Biden Administration is. They're claiming that lower to middle income individuals will save money on their energy bills due to earlier purchase of supposedly more energy efficient cars and appliances. The bill gives tax rebates to taxpayers to incentivize them to purchase these energy efficient appliances and cars. Of course, they fail to realize that lower and middle income individuals are struggling just to put food on the table and be able to afford gas in their cars to go to work under the crippling Bidenflation. They certainly don't have the extra thousands of dollars laying around to purchase these energy efficient appliances and cars.

The rebates may have some effect but I agree that it's no certainty the targeted groups would avail themselves.

The tax credits are more dubious since you have to have a corresponding tax liability to use the credits. Given roughly half of households have no tax liability they cannot apply the credit.

It's also wrong to say the savings are applied to the average household when what they really mean is if your household did all these things the average savings would be this - but most households will not do these things.

EDIT - in looking at the link in the article it shows the article is misleading as these savings would only accrue to those who:

one question I don't see answered is how much more a month do you have to spend (payments on appliances, new car and solar) to garner $150/mo in savings.

Since I'm bored I'm reading through the "explainer" for these "savings". BTW - the organization is a trade org promoting electricity.

As suspected this is the annual savings for energy.

Let's take the most generous program - rebates. These are for heat pump, heat pump water heater, insulation, elec stove, elec dryers and requisite wiring. Low income houses can get full rebates so they get some savings. "Moderate" income (whatever that is) get 50%

Given their rebate limits a moderate household could pay as much as (maybe more) $9000 to get a portion of the $1800 savings (solar and gas for car excluded from savings). Basically anyone but a low income household (they estimate low and moderate combined is about 1 million HHs; for reference this is less than 1% of HHs) has up to a 10 year ROI before any savings are realized. Given appliance lifespans it's questionable how much net savings would occur.

The other incentives are all tax credits that only apply if you have a tax liability. If you don't routinely owe the IRS a check when you pay your taxes you can't use these. For example the 7500 tax credit for EVs is only usable if you determine after you've done your taxes you owe at least 7500 to the IRS.

Smoke and mirrors
