Anytime you and the ATF are on the same page when it comes to firearms , I know I should oppose it automatically and never think twice about it .

Poll taxes were considered unconstitutional, why wouldnt a gun tax?

You are proposing a system of gun rights, only for those who can afford the extra tax. Considering you balk at ID laws for voting that costs 32 bucks for an ID value for 8 years, seems like you wouldnt want an ID for guns. At least if you were consistent. But you arent. On top of that racist requirement for ID, you want to add on additional taxes. Ensuring that only the wealthy have guns, and ammo.

I'm pretty sure most (all?) states offer a free ID. (Not a DL)

This has always been the start of my test on rational or reasonable. Would they accept the same restrictions/requirements on other rights?

If no, it's clearly not rational or reasonable.
If yes, it may be rational or reasonable and worth discussing.

Someone in the thread I saw that in said the cops were patrolling the line and refusing to let people walk up to those holding guns. But yes I would go camp out one of these things, I'm sure you could find great milsurp rifles for double what the cops will pay you for it.

Wtf is the issue a barrel shroud? How would that ever increase lethality, ease of hiding, rate of fire or whatever they are worried about.

And I am also pretty sure every rifle will have a threaded barrel.

between buying back guns on the cheap and printing worthless guns to sell at the event, you're set financially.

Government waste isn’t necessarily illegal. Stopping people from a casual interaction in a public space most likely is illegal. Someone will most likely test that out at some point.

City matter with the budget and what they hope to accomplish. Would love to know what they count success as, IIRC it was 800 some odd guns. I would think a city that size that's not even a drop in the bucket.
