What's funny/ironic, is that in several of the countries that they want to emulate that still allow some limited gun ownership silencers are required. I know that's how the British isles work, germany, and at least one other.

Just speaks to how little our gun grabbers know. Something they want to ban, is a requirement over there.

2022 Music Midtown festival canceled; decision linked to state gun laws
This year’s Music Midtown festival, a showcase event slated to bring tens of thousands of people and big-name artists to Piedmont Park over two days in September, was canceled Monday in part due to the state’s laws surrounding guns in public parks.
The event’s organizers were concerned about a threat of a lawsuit from gun owners if they decided to hold the festival with firearms restrictions in place, two officials with direct knowledge of the decision told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

There was also a worry that some of the artists would refuse to perform if weapons were permitted, one of the officials said.
It’s not immediately clear whether organizers of other upcoming concerts held on public land, including the rock-oriented Shaky Knees, will revisit their plans.

So law passed in 2014 is a problem now? Survived legal challenges, but was still law, in 2019? Was pushed to GA Supreme Court this year, but still law, and just now a problem? GTFO. This is their organizers bailing for political purposes not legal concerns. They held this event for years until now. I am sure it has nothing to do with being a major issue in the governors race.

Guns have been banned at every Music Midtown ever held. This would have been the FIRST one where they would be forced to allow them.

I missed a detail. You are correct. But didn't they hold one in 2020 and 2021? So.....are you dense?

Not in 2020 - COVID.
But a 2019 Georgia Supreme Court ruling — and an appellate court ruling earlier this year upholding that decision — made it more difficult for private groups to restrict guns from short-term events held on public land.

Did they have it last year? If yes why? If so then why now? It's still the law even while being challenged. So they just rolled the dice? Not concerned?
