I am a shotgun man myself..I don't wanna have to aim, and I just want to make a pile of pulp out of whoever is trying to victimize me and mine.A 40 is ok, but for home defense nothing beats a 12 guage pump with an 18 inch barrel. Even if you don't hit them (which would be hard to do) you will scare the crap out of them.
The ref that was screwing over kids for whatever pathetic petty reason he had and then nearly killed someone that was just walking away is not a good human being...no excuse for that...none...and I hope he goes to prison. That’s the thing: these are mostly great people. Something terrible happening doesn’t change that. Not one person involved is happy about any of it. My lesson to my son is: we make mistakes, we own them, we move on better for it. Is that not a lesson you’ve ever needed to impart?
You could go the other direction and hit the Rockies though..Yeah, the Plaza is my favorite place in the city and Pie Junkie is fantastic. My wife and I have a couple of little ones though so we don’t get out much lately. I always say you can find good people wherever you go, and I’ve managed to do that here too. What kills me about it here though is the lack of nature. The pandemic really made that hit home. Arkansas is underrated, but it takes 3-4 hours to get there from here.
I also hate being surrounded by OU fans, but I can save that rant for another time.
I think the coolest part of Okie is the SW part. It is just so random. There's a little bit in the Ouchitas but if you're heading that direction and distance anyway you might as well go to Arkansas lol. Interestingly, the far southeastern corner of OK is an ecosystem you don't think of when you think of OK. Alligators and such.
Have also listened through the ESV. And yes, the law was hard. "...and the long lobe of the liver..."
Luke 24
27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he (Jesus) interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He acted as if he were going farther, 29 but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight. 32 They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”
