Thanks to the random guy yesterday that stopped and changed the tire on my truck. Stuck on the side of the road and couldn't get my jack under it,too low to the ground and needed a floor jack. Sat there for two hours already and was being told by roadside assistance or would be 4 hours before anytime could get there.

Random roadside guy pulls up with a floor jack and I was on my way in 10 minutes.

Wouldn't even tell me his name. Kinda restored my faith in people, cause apparently not all people suck. Who knew?

So thanks random roadside guy.appreciate it.

Bud Elliott interviewed a bunch of beat writers from all over the country, here's what the UK guy had to say:

-UK fans riding high after 10 wins, feel like they should have won more
-Tennessee game a head scratcher from last year (lol)
-13th best class last year has them high on momentum
-Bud sees a lot of uncertainty, kind of drilled them
-even though their OC is gone to NFL, thinks the system will remain the same or close to it based on new OC
-think they have good TEs, will use those a lot. Bringing FB back, more running.
-worry about what they can get out of WRs, at least early
-Rodriguez at RB is the real deal
-4 of 6 main OL and the OL coach are gone. OL has looked good in spring and into summer workouts/practice. Have developed depth at OL.
-203 of 280 WR targets last year are gone.
-Bud questioning the Will Levis hype. "Am I missing something, or are all these people just *projecting* that Levis will take some giant step forward?"
-Kentucky and scouts think he will take huge step in 2nd year of being at UK. Needs to work on footwork, wow arm, fearless, want him to scale back on taking so many hits, high trust level among teammates. He threw some at UK's Pro Day, which all 32 NFL teams had scouts at, and he wowed them, that's where alL the hype is coming from. Was also efficient in spring game.
-DL lost some dogs but they do have experience back. Interior DL will be fine. DE has questions. They do have multiple 4-star players on DL that have had time to develop.
-LB will be major strength.
-4 of 6 DBs gone. Biggest concern on whole team. 5th year guy starting at SS but the rest are all question marks. True soph and frosh starting at corner. Stoops background is DB coach so he's been very involved in coaching them up in spring.

South Carolina interview:

-mood in Columbia very high. Folks fired up.
-beating UNC in bowl game lit a fire.
-offense was 86th last year, leaned on run a lot. Bringing in Rattler to unlock offense. They are very excited about Rattler.
-didn't live up to OU expectations last year, but if he simply matches his OU productivity they will be better this year, and everyone expects him to be better and more mature.
-teams will have to at least respect pass game more now. Everyone could load box and play run last year because of poor QB play.
-brought in more weapons from portal
-WR has interesting options. Pretty good depth and talent at WR.
-RB has good depth now too and players that Bud is high on. Thinks run game will free up a bit more for guys that played well last year despite every team knowing they had to run.
-Rattler will be at least good, remains to be seen if he can be great. Certainly an improvement. WRs will be better than they have been in years. RB good.
-Bud brings pouring some water on the hype: OL returns all 9 guys that played at least 100 snaps last year. Tons of experience. But they suck. All of their stats are terrible from last year. They were even bad against lesser teams.
-OL getting two guys back that were injured most of last year.
-safe to assume offense will make big jump from 86th last year, but will they just be top half, or will they be top 25?
-DBs will be good. Safeties a question. Not a lot of depth at safety either. Played walk ons at safety in spring. Bringing in some good freshmen but safety thin.
-LB loses best guy, brings back below average guy as starter. Lot of competition at LB. Staff still figuring that out.
-DL will have to be better, but they lost their best guy.
-They both think that the story on SC this year will be how good the offense is but how much of a liability the defense is
-lose their kicker, who was instrumental for them in their close wins last year

Love everything about it except the extra money I spend on gas and driving on Blanding Blvd. I rate Blanding with at least one of the seven levels of hell, getting a vasectomy or having Jeremy Pruitt as a head coach. Mostly glad I took my new job in January. I was back over in St. Augustine yesterday and on the 20th for work. I had to estimate painting the exterior of a house in the historic area yesterday and the interior of a newer one on 207 earlier in the week.

Landed the newer interior but don't really want the exterior in the historic area....too much could go wrong and it's a pain for the crews to get their trucks down those narrow streets. I'll probably put the price high enough that we don't get it and if I do land it then it's worth any headache. Plus St. Augustine is out of our territory so we have to pay the crews more.

How's life been treating you in St. Johns County? Had enough of people from up north or Cali moving into the area yet?

It's nothing but these Yankee dweebs. In the last couple months the houses that sold welcomed 1 Delaware, 1 Illinois, 2 California, 1 New Jersey and 2 new york. Nothing went to locals as far as I can tell. Sad to see some of the renters have a tough time getting a house when northerners are paying 30k over asking and paying down the appraisal. It's slowing down now though. Hope they default lol.

Here is a fun off-season question. Name a Tennessee player from past years that improved significantly from one year to another.

Then, tell me a player that you think can do the same this year.

My answer to the first question: Cedric Tillman is the obvious answer for me. I took the easy way out on this one.

This year, I think someone that will improve a lot will be Trevon Flowers.
