Is anyone still around from his time?

At worse, he might make Fulmer look bad. But it's all BS considering he knowingly did all of it and he's a grown adult.
There is a long standing gentleman's agreement for coaches. Tennessee sorta broke that when they didnt stand up for Pruitt. If Pruitt ever wants to coach in College again, he'll watch his mouth.

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen, I know a lot of you are book fans and I bought a Kindle Paperwhite during Prime Days but I need a book to read. I am a big fan of Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, RR Martin, Lovecraft etc. (I love Horror, Sci-Fi, Dark Fantasy and Fantasy) but I will read anything that's good even Lit Fic (basically I read just about any genre except romance as I find those cheesy as hell). So hit me up with your suggestions.

Bought Norse Anthology - as all my buddies speak to Gaiman's writing. After reading about his Athieism, I put book down.

I can usually dissasociate, but this was during the election and had made up my mind where I wanted and needed to be.

Sadly, got i habit of having TV playing in background while working. @butchna recommended Bosch book, which has been rich in detail. Love it. Also been reading the book about Mighty Eighth, Master of the Air for last 5 years.

So, ill finish them before I die.

Out of your genres but don’t miss…Where the Crawdads Sing, The Women of Chateau Lafayette, and The Nightingale.

I really enjoy the Red Rising series.

If you're looking for adventurous fictional reads, these are some of my favorites:

I think the most he could try is to put some of the blame on Fulmer, which could do some damage to Fulmers rep, but that’s about it. Unless he has direct receipts of Fulmer encouraging him to pay recruits and do these things then it’s his word against UT/Fulmers… and we already know UT has truck loads of evidence at this point. Everyone knows it’s in his best interest to just stay quiet at this point but he’s hard headed and dumb so who knows.

I would say it's more likely that he wants to keep this in the news until UT offers him some type of settlement.

Plowman went out of her way from the get-go to express they were all surprised at the number of infractions and the complexity of the mechanisms used to pull it off. This was not run of the mill cheating. Thus the number of staffers that were released along with the coaches. I hope that sunshine laws will enable everyone to see these details. I would hate it for any of the staffers that were only doing the bad acts under threat of their job, if there are any.
We cheated way more than this during the 90’s…. People just hated Pruitt.

If you really want a great piece of literature that happens to be darkish fantasy, check out Malazan. Commit to reading the first 3 before you make up your mind. The first one is a little tough, but the series as a whole is the first fantasy I ever read that felt like one of the classics by Dickens or Chaucer while still being entertaining.

Count of Monte Cristo and all the 3 Musketeers books are really good, so much better than the movies.

Bernard Cornwell is my favorite historical fiction writer, his King Arthur series will ruin all the other Arthur stories for you.

Kingkiller Chronicles is phenomenal, but like GRRM, he's pretty much refusing to finish the series. Still worth it, and only 3 books if he ever finishes.

If you haven't read King's Dark Tower, I'd recommend, though it gets a little weird in the middle.

IMO, he has no grounds for a settlement at this point unless he can prove admin above Fulmer knew about it and encouraged it. If he tries to go scorched earth and say Fulmer knew but AD and above didn’t.. who cares, Fulmer “retired” as well. He no longer works at the university. The lack of institutional control is still in place because the administration did what it was supposed to when they found out so it doesn’t increase the chance of punishments either. I’m not a lawyer, but the only way he is getting a settlement is if UT caves from bad press… but let’s be honest, outside of the douche bags like Pat Forde, etc, most media members see a very light or even no additional punishments from this. So who cares if it stays in the news? Hell, win some games this fall and everyone will talk about that.. not some investigation that’s not going to amount to anything.

I really think you'd like his novel American Gods. You would know a ton of the places and it turns out that a place we all know is the key to it all. But I understand having to be in the proper mood or frame of mind for something. I really do think you'd like his writing tho. I never knew he was an atheist so it's not in his works.

This is all about players visiting during Covid dead period and UT providing travel, expenses and accommodations. Players could visit unofficially, but teams could not pay their way. These violations could not be ignored because most other teams strictly abided by this rule.
I think Arizona State will also get hit with this, but they did not deal with it like Plowman. I feel sorry for coaches on staff and staff who lost jobs who did not know about visits or did not approve of visits.
All the other violations would have been swept under the rug, but travel expenses paid during Covid restrictions were not going to remain private.
