Boomworthy. This was always about institutional control. The internal whistleblower found out, so our internal controls were functioning. It was caught, reported, and dealt with.

"In the notice of allegations, the NCAA credited Tennessee for self-reporting violations and its "exemplary cooperation" in the investigation. It also did not find the university lacked institutional control, a significant decision that likely removes the program from program-crippling levels of punishment."

And there it is.

Wait, I just read through it. This actually doesn’t seem that bad. For the NCAA to say we “set the standard” for how to internally handle the investigation it feels like this won’t be that bad at all. Bad publicity still; but no lack of institutional control is big.

If the news is dropping later on a Friday, that's usually by design. The classic "Friday News Dump" is traditionally reserved for, well, bad news.

NCAA related? In the past, most programs drop their NCAA findings or punishment news on Fridays.
Bru? Byron Young situation all over again?

Don't think it's recruiting because that news just kind of drops whenever it wants, but you never know.

Nothing like waiting for bad news. What a thrill.
Whew.

Added bonus. Since we set the standard on investigations, NCAA is now asking us to investigate Bama, UGA and Florida.
