Enjoying the scenery on our trip through the pacific coast states of this beautiful country try of ours. But our trip this year hasn't been without trouble, cell phone stolen and truck trouble to name 2. Pictures lost and time lost dealing with these problems.

Nevertheless, I do have a few pictures to share.

Redwoods National Park and ridiculously beautiful Crater Lake.

Absolutely horrific looking. How can you stand it there? Godspeed...hope you find more suitable and attractive locales very soon.

Rodman was one of the best defender's ever period. What's odd is that for all his Diva behavior the man is broke (well broke by the standards of he should be sitting on millions) because he will simply give strangers in need gobs of cash. He did it back then and still does it now despite not having nearly the wealth he used to have. I absolutely loved Rodman as a player. He was a badass.

My grandpa would have strangers come to the door at all hours, sometimes 2am or later, asking for money. He felt bad, so he gave it to them. Think Jimmy and Chuck’s dad on Better Call Saul. My dad and I always thought he’d end up getting killed over it, since they stayed in their neighborhood despite crime ramping up in the area. Reminds me of him, what you said about Rodman.

One of those Twighlight Zone type moments I experienced in my travels was the day we left Yellowstone headed to Crater Lake. For some reason my GPS passed on the interstate route and we traveled the Combo US 20 and US 26 path. At one point I went over 2 hours without seeing another vehicle coming or going. Only saw some of those ranch type entrances with roads or driveways disappearing into the horizon. Not a store or a gas station according to my memory.

From Crater Lake headed to the coast at Coos Bay and hugged the shore all the way to the Candian border heading to Olympic NP, including passing through Forks WA, the referenced location for the Twilight movies. Learned it was not filmed there, but down the road somewhere in OR. Oh well.

Lots of pretty things to miss in this country if you fly or stay on the interstates and don't look around.

He also had a business manager who stole millions of dollars from him. There is a podcast about it called The Opportunist. Her name was Peggy Fulford.

Random Note:

While putting together a list of players to watch for next year in CFB I was looking at SMU’s depth chart and noticed a familiar name in Shannon Reid starting at MLB for them.

I know he wasn’t much more than a depth/special teams guy here, just think it’s pretty cool he was able to go somewhere and find some relative success.

While I'm 99% sure you're being sarcastic, never hurts to add information.

Phalanx CIWS - Wikipedia

75x 20MM armor-piercing tungsten sabots PER. SECOND. That's the "steam" you see.
yes, i'm aware. pretty cool. In my mind, crazier is that the basic model of that gun was developed pre Vietnam.

nice, both are bucket list.

When I researched CL out of College, didnt realize the size and magnitude of the place.

Tennessee baseball commits NCAA violation on transfer Maui Ahuna

It just says UT paid for a flight for a visit before UT received his transcripts. Also, a Lady Vols team (swimming I think*) sent an email to a recruit before it was permissible.

Those are the only 2 violations reported by the AD for the first 6 months of '22. Very minor violations with minor punishments.

*It's Knox News and I forgot which team. I've used all my free articles and it won't let me see it again, 😆. I think it said Lady Vols swimming team.
This is a prime Knox News clickbait headline. It would have been much better to use University of Tennessee has only two minor recruiting violations in the first six months of 2022. But that would not fit their narrative at all.
