Why do we have a 2nd amendment? It isn’t just to hunt. It isn’t just for self defense. Care to guess the other reasons and why they “shall not be infringed”?

There is no need to amend the constitution. You can have rational and reasonable gun legislation within the current 2a.

It's adorable as hell and exactly what I was talking about when you conflate your "opinion and viewpoint" with the "truth". You're so unaware of what your trying to address you literally just invoked "machine guns".

I can appreciate that you hate to see bad things happen, I really do. This doesn't change the fact you come across as precisely the kind of emotion driven and gullible person Josh Sugarmann suggested targeting when he spearheaded the broad use of attaching "assault" to the front of any number of firearms that are functionally little if any different from any other standard semi-auto.

I think making it illegal for a five year old to purchase a machine gun, a 12 year old to purchase oxycontin, or a 15 year old to purchase a bottle of jack and a pack of smokes is completely rational and reasonable.

You think those purchases should be legal.

I'll stick with my position because yours is nuts.

And in fairness it's not in doubt what the founders meant if you are honest. Takes about two minutes of research to read their quotes. It's liars who try to claim otherwise .
