the fact that he's taking an unofficial to LSU worries me... if he wanted to go to Miami to hang out with his brother on the beach, wouldn't he have chosen the unofficial for that? then he would be constricted by time constraints due to an official... i don't know. i'd love to see him in orange and white in the fall though. maybe volball333 can get some inside info on what bryce is doing right now.

Just spoke with volball333, said he's been assisting bryce in his workouts. he's been punting to BB in order for him to increase his reps on special teams since he isn't good enough to start at RB for miami

what is word in wichita on where he is going?

Most Wichitans still think the Jayhawks Orange Bowl trip two seasons ago makes them a legitimate college football powerhouse... actually most of the Wichitans I know are K-State fans, they have completely given up on football lately and have no hope of BB going to KSU... really, they aren't even weighing in on it... not on the radio or anything, thats why I was surpised to see the interview on tv the other night.

Not sure what to think, but I think UT left a good impression on him. Weather that will last until March 16 and after two more visits I don't know.

In my gut, I think he signs with Tennessee.

this is becoming a circus with this guy. ncaa needs to change this rule. feb 4th is national signing not 3 or 4 weeks later.

Feb. 4th is just the official day that they are allowed to sign. This isn't the deadline. The deadline is in March or April I believe.

From seeing/reading all the reactions from the prospects that visited UT in the last month or so it seems that everytime a recruit had great things to say after their visit they ended up signing...and I don't mean the generic "they have a great program" crap. The only ones that haven't are O. Charles and B. Brown. So I'm hoping the trend continues.

Well....a case could be made for Marcus Hall not signing, but you get the idea. He was a major OSU lean.

Taj Boyd and Bryce Brown were MVP's of the Army Bowl, could you imagine if UT had signed both of them :banghead2:

He is still planning to take an official visit to Miami.

What will be interesting to me is whether or not he stays committed to Miami even if they choose not to re-extend the offer. If he does, that's just silly.

If they did re-extend the offer, they would be foolish. Giving a recruit this much power over your schollies is what has started this whole mess about kids signing later and later.

Do you know the name of his friend by chance?

Chris Harper

He was recruited to play QB for the Ducks. But, he injured his throwing shoulder before the season even started. So, because he's such a good athlete just running the ball, they found ways to get it to him from the slot.

We went through a brief controversy a couple months ago where people thought he was going to transfer because he was homesick and some Facebook comment (something like "I'm thinking about a lot.. a lot.") seemed to support that. But, then he said to reporters that it wasn't true. Most consider that episode to have been resolved. So, it would be a surprise if he did end up transferring.

Their facilities are ridiculously nice, but I heard there stadium is not that great and is a little outdated. Plus it only holds like 56,000.

Autzen has been sold out every game since 2002. Attendance is usually just over 60k (standing room tickets or something). They have said that there are plans to expand the stadium to add another 14-20k in capacity. But, no time-line as of now. Probably because they just started construction on what will be the most expensive ($200 million) basketball arena in the NCAA. Also, just re-instated Baseball, hired a top-class coach, built the diamond, etc. The anti-sports powers in the state are already fuming about those actions. So, they're probably going to wait on more football seats, for now. :)

The stadium is great on gameday though. It's one of the loudest stadiums in the country, hitting like 130 decibels against USC a year or two ago, which I'm pretty sure is the highest recorded volume at a college football game.

That game was unbelievably loud. Almost too loud. It felt like it was making my eyes blurry somehow.

I think this gives a good feel for it (plus you can see some cheerleaders :) ): YouTube - Oregon Ducks Cheerleaders Dixon TD against USC

but what doesnt make sense is why is BB going to visit U when he doesnt have a offer from them anymore????

I'm not sure. But, my impression is that they announced that they would not renew his offer after Brown said he was going to official there. It might have been in reaction to Brown's announcement.

He is still planning to take an official visit to Miami.

Seems like the Miami staff knows something we don't . Maybe they caught wind that he wanted to official with no intention of signing? In some cases, that's not bad publicity for a program. But, Miami has two stud RB's already and may want to just move on and show commitment to who they have.

If it's not something like that, I'd be surprised if they don't change course and extend the offer. So many fans and boosters there will be freaking out if they don't.

The letter of intent presently issued expires Wednesday at midnight and sources told CaneSport that there is a strong chance that Coach Randy Shannon will choose not to issue Brown a new scholarship offer if he has not signed with Miami by that deadline.

.

wheaton you are the kind of long post..........that is too much to read. and IF they announced they werent going to renew it after bb said he is going to visit.....more power to the U.
