‘23 FL OT Francis Mauigoa (Miami commit)

So our side is very confident. Miami’s side is very confident and feels like they’ve been told he is coming.

Either someone is blowing smoke for no reason, or FM told both sides what they want to hear to keep the mystery alive.

I am not going to get all worked up either way today. This thing won't be over till ink is on paper and then that is probably only good for a year. NIL is just an additional moving part and is complicated by ONE TIME, especially for these perceived game changers. It will settle down in time after a few horror stories impact the funding to the collectives. Losing will be worse since it is not tax deductible.

I don't see transfers being as big of an issue with Poly kids. They are raised/built differently than most of the kids who transfer. Coaches leaving being an exception but we don't have to worry about that for a while.

The boat with the TN flag at the beginning....

Yeah, several positive signs, but FM seems like a kid who wants his “moment” so I’m hoping this isn’t all just misdirection and trolling. I would imagine not though. I feel like he wouldn’t do that to Nico and his family.

My dreamwalker buddy.

Who's in Mauigoa's astral realm right now!

I hope that he is so happy with his future he can't help but want to live this moment and feel all the good feelings. All the Tennessee things.

At this point, I think I want FM mostly because I need to see that dumb Miami board meltdown. Cristobal hasn’t even coached a game yet and those guys are acting like they’re Alabama or Georgia.

I just perused that board. I’m not sure why anyone would be freaking out from reading it unless you believe that anonymous posters are in direct contact with not only Miami’s staff, but also UT’s.

They don’t know sh*t. Neither do we.

And to the point of your post - yes they are indeed delusional.

Great point from poster on another site
“Like I said before, no right minded person believes this kid sat down with his family yesterday, weighed options, picked Miami or Bama or USC, then picked his cleanest UT shirt to wear out to fireworks, right?”

It’s a fair point, but teenagers do weird things and it probably wouldn’t be the first nor the last time in football recruiting history a kid tried to create misdirection for his announcement.

Still, I’m pretty hopeful these are all good signs!
