So to be clear, he was armed and firing at police in the car chase, but was allegedly unarmed after he started on a foot race? Meh, I'm not sure I'm going to be coming down too hard on the cops on this. If he was armed and firing on them before, it would be reasonable to expect that he could be still armed in the chase.

My only question is what started all of this? Why were the police chasing him in the first place?

The guy was obviously in the wrong. The only things that might raise questions is the initial stop, they didn't release the video. And is there proof he actually fired at them? They can't afford dashcams so we'll likely never know.

But at the end of the day, dont run from police.
