I’m curious - when you’ve eaten (or been served) grits, are they sweetened? Personally, I can’t stand sugar on grits. I like mine with salt, pepper, and butter. Others love them sweetened.

Of course, this is a whole other fraught topic, right up there with Thanksgiving dressing vs stuffing and oysters or no.

Cream of Wheat - Sugar

Oatmeal - Brown Sugar & Honey

Bring 'em all. Watch them disappear. Good eatin'.

Now, my dad would add cornbread in a glass with buttermilk and black pepper to that list.

Oatmeal, Grits, and Cream of Wheat all in the same bowl bowl. That's how I roll.

This right here all damn day! I grew up with people in N. Alabama that did that and all I can say is.....well, there you go.
