It won't work either way. The USA is a violence-loving nation. Our attitude, our history, our TV shows, kid toys, cartoons, and more from years back to this day, testify of this. So, no serious bill will ever get passed, it's just not in the country's nature.

Yeah, back when you could order guns through the mail, kids played Cowboys and indians with pop-guns, war movies and westerns played in all the theaters people were lucky to walk down the street without getting shot.

Your bigotry is exposed. In the midst of your sentence, you capitalized "Cowboys" while small lettering "indians." Cowboys, being a regular noun, and not at the start of a sentence, while Indians is, all-be-it, a misnomer, is still a proper noun, denoting a race of people.
