It gets to the crux of something I've believed is coming for years.

The govt is mad that they can't stop a business from acting in their own best interest.

That said, what are the profit margins from oil companies this past quarter? If they're in the 25%+ range, yea they might be taking advantage of the situation. If the profit margins are still in the 10-13% range, then it ain't the Exxon's fault.

Well today that’s right anyway. Make no mistake DC polits are completely pissed of they can’t grab a handful off your pretax wealth you’ve played by the rules and saved to date. They will be coming for that.

I kind of doubt they will be successful without putting a cap on it. The high net worth democrats that support these idiots won't take kindly to having their wealth stolen a little bit at a time. Death by 1,000 cuts as it were.
