Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

My daughter started UT basketball camp today. She's always anxious in new environments. Her mom called me saying the kid didn't want to do the camp and wanted to come home. I spoke with my daughter on the phone and tried to pump her up. Jordan Walker came over and convinced her to join her for drills. My daughter told me they are now "besties for the resties." She has never used that term before so I assume it was something Jordan said to her. Triple J and Double Z came by and gave her a high five later on in the day. Of course she made tons of friends and so excited about the rest of the week. My wife says she hasn't stopped talking basketball since they got back to the hotel. It's easy to forget how awesome the vast majority of our student athletes are.

Cool story bro.

No seriously that is a really cool story bro. Glad Walker managed the situation and got your daughter engaged. Making memories.

Wanted to chime in and say the same. My son went last week and ZZ and JJJ were absolutely amazing. They interacted, laughed, coached and answered every request for a pic or autograph from kids and parents. I sent an email letting them know how impressive those young men representing our university were. Of course when you watch coach Barnes you realize they learn by example.

Warms my cold, cynical heart.

Note to job hunters out there...

If you start your interview complaining about your current job, it doesn't set the tone for the interview in a good light.

Second, arrogance and "I do it my way because it works" will not land you a second interview.

Third, don't try applying for the job that doesn't exist.

My recruiter wisdom for the day.

All good advice. You're a recruiter?
