Remember, Russia had a "tactical retreat" from Kyiv when they couldn't take it in 3 days. During that retreat they committed the most war crimes on the European continent since Yugoslavia broke up. Now they have focused on controlling the area they helped to steal in 2014..Kyiv beaches? The river?
So either this tweet is bs, or the russians must not be punishing Ukraine hard enough where the civilians still feel free to go about their lives.
Ukraine losing land but joining EU/NATO.How do think this is going to end?
Just like another week will bring Ukraine to its knees. There has been a bunch of cat fights in this thread but havent seen you drop news on the newest big encirclement the western media wont talk about.Apparently that 40 billion isn't working out too well either. I'm sure Zelensky will demand 40 billion more. Maybe that extra 40 billion will finally bring Russia to its knees.
Beyond concerns about contested logistics, Hicks there’s a “strong business case” for the Pentagon’s efforts to adopt electric vehicles as the car industry moves in that direction. While “not an overnight issue,” DoD is motivated at a strategic level to “free that tether to fossil fuel.”
Well, where are the Western media/reporters? Drinking lattes in Kyiv and Lviv while the real fighting is going on in Donbas? He gets great combat footage of Russians fighting Casper in his empty houses.
The narrative is that Ukraine is still fighting in a war that Russia was suppose to have won in a week. Since the lines are still fluid the insurgency hasn't even begun yet. Russia needs to be prepared for a slow bleed. News of sappers and guerrillas will be showing up in your feed soon. Now keep in mind that the narrative is that the Russians are bombing the country into the Stone Age.

Whenever actual journalists get close your invading asshat homies shoot them moe! I wonder why the invading bastards don’t shoot Lancaster?Well, where are the Western media/reporters? Drinking lattes in Kyiv and Lviv while the real fighting is going on in Donbas?
Your beef should be with Western media for not being present and relying on the Kyiv govt for info.
The difference between Afghanistan (for both Russia and the US) and Vietnam, Iraq. etc is that Donbas and southern Ukraine are their people with shared interests and culture.Insurgencies are the wars you can't win even after you won. The gift that keeps on giving ... Afghanistan (x2 - really all throughout history), Vietnam, ... Almost like a Hotel California where you can enter and never leave unless you really do cut your losses and just go. Russia will learn the lesson all over again in Ukraine if they blunder into a partial "win" and hang around. Russia probably should cut it's losses, give up Ukraine. and go home. Crimea could be at risk if it wasn't such a Russian infested playground - it's really the only warm resort spot they've ever had.
López Obrador didn't elaborate on how, but fair to say a peaceful resolution would have centered on the negotiation of:
- Some form of independence for the eastern Ukraine provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk
- A Ukraine government pledge that it will not join NATO
- Ukraine's recognition that Crimea is now part of Russia
U.S.-NATO policy is tantamount to saying, “I’ll supply the weapons, and you supply the dead," said López Obrador. "It is immoral.”
