Gun control debate (merged)

You have to have an ID to purchase a gun. We know black folks can’t get IDs.

They can’t purchase them on the internet because they don’t know how to use computers.

They can’t go to gun shows to purchase one because they don’t know how to drive.

Joy is just another racist white liberal savior trying to hold the black community down.
It’s sad how those democrats who claim others are racist say the most racist things.
And nobody calls them on it.

Well technically you are government property and you voluntarily gave up certain rights when you signed up. Of course we could own guns when I was in the army they just had to keep them in the company armory and sign them in and out.

That was the same policy when I was in. 1sgt knew better to look up into the drop ceiling in the barracks though.

During a surprise health & welfare inspection I heard our new CO ask shouldn’t we look in the ceiling? 1sgt asked him how many good soldiers did he want to courts martial.

For various reasons. Mine, I was broke, young, dumb and needed to get out of town before my mom found out I had dropped out of college.
Pretty good reasons.
I know dozens of kids who have joined and all have their own reasons. I've just never really found that to be any more instantly admirable than many of the decisions other kids make.
I respect the kids who have earned respect and I respect the decisions that are worthy of respect.

You deserve some respect for signing on that dotted line and raising your right hand. Doesn’t make you a “hero” or even a good person but it’s a respectable decision.

I can go with that. Same with LEOs, nurses, teachers, truck drivers.....like I said, I respect the decisions that are worthy of respect.
Some of those take more work and determination to achieve than others.

Please.
I have respect for the military. I have respect for LEOs. I have respect for teachers. I have respect for government officials. I have respect for lawyers and doctors and nurses and plumbers............ I have respect for any and all who deserve respect.

It's some of you guys who are clueless when handing out your respect.
No you don't. You don't respect anything but your big government. You are one of the most despicable people I have ever interacted with.... you and your EL girlfriend.

You literally make me sick.

Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:4
Voluntarily denying one‘s self and giving to others is love and charity.
Being forced and coerced to give up your rights and goods is thievery and slavery.
If you don’t understand the difference, then I truly pity you.

Literally?

You haven't the least bit of impact on my wellness.

If a poster literally made me sick, I think I would block them.........so do yourself a favor.

It seems as if the Bible is saying that putting the interest of others before yourself is an admirable quality. Maybe I'm missing something.

Teachers and their unions shat all over that when Covid happened. They are less necessary then the cashier at lowes. That was how they acted.

I will never understand why so many who claim to hate the government willingly gave their ass to the government.

Most that join are too young and inexperienced to have figured out why they should hate bureaucracy and government red tape until they decide to get out . Ask any Vet what sucks the most about the military and they will enlighten you about the government .
