This is one of the most highly contested areas of Ukraine rn. It's called "the road to life", and it's basically Ukraine's supply route to the eastern front. Russia has tried to take it several times. They had the chance to end it a few days ago and encircle the entire 10,000 or so reported UK. fighters. Instead, russia decided in a full frontal attack as a show of force. That's when a bunch of russians refused to fight, and that general took the lead in the charge.
