So on the show, Bryce was on with Brian Butler... On Tennessee, said he had a good visit, "lots of nice people down there." Also says "he spend lots of one on one time with Coach Kiffin talking about the offense and how he would fit in." He mentioned taking an "unofficial" visit to LSU in a couple weeks.
Lots of K-State homers calling in trying to pump him up on K-State but his reactions were luke warm.
He did sound upbeat about Oregon... talked about how the uniforms and "shoes you get," said "Oregon sells it self and they care about their players." He was impressed with how they handled Dennis Dixon's injury, especially how they set up a website for him giving the NFL scouts updates on the progress of his rehab, Bryce said that showed how much they care.
Bryce called the CFL rumors "non-sense."
Said he is going to announce on March 16th now...
Thats it...
I just find it odd that a kid still has all these visits after NSD, his mentor, and all this national media attention and it's not about him getting off on all this.
Sounds promising..............for Oregon.:cray:
I dont know if he is soaking up all the attention he can get or not, but the way he acts on interviews and in person (from what I read) does not seem to match the rumors off him being the type of person who thinks its all about him. He has made the comment that he doesnt watch to be the focal point of an offense, he seems sincere and respectful in interviews, and the fact that he has an advisor actually means that he is getting less media attention than he would if he was available to anyone who came calling from a recruiting service. He doesnt do alot of interviews and anyone that wants to contact him has to go through his advisor, which means less news to report. How much info would be splashed al over the internet if he were available to Hubbs, Low, Rivals, Scout or any other recruiting service? I bet this thread would have exploded by the night he left town if he made himself available to them.
Again, I dont know him personally or even profess to know alot about him. But just from an observers standpoint, if it were not for the article about his advisor, I think a lot more people would think of him as pretty low key for a top ranked prospect.
Maybe he actually is trying to take his time and make a good decision. He did decide late in the recruiting season that he better take other visits because Miami might not be the best place for him.
If he's as good as projected - he doesn't need to worry about free shoes or crazy looking uniforms. Money won't be a problem in a few years.
He probably didn't want to say anything that got posted here or, even worse, on some wanna be VolNation/ESPN affiliate board. He'll open up after he signs. I think he's just trying to make the right decision and that decision is not as obvious to him as it is to us.
Welcome!:hi:
