Then you could shut up. Or at least stop preening like you understand “the future” more than anybody else who’s been paying attention. The NCAA LOST back in 2014…remember? When Ed O’Bannon shut down the EA Sports money train?

I have literally addressed both of these points. Directly to you in fact. Do you have any reading comprehension ability at all?

Re O'Bannon I said: O'Bannon held that the NCAA could not cap scholarships below the "true cost of attendance, PLUS $5k/year in a trust for those S-As. Scholarships do not equal NIL, NIL is not an educational benefit.

As for knowing the future, I have just laid out where the law currently stands, every singe time. I even said:

I have never claimed to know how this plays out, not even a little bit. All I have provided is the analysis any lawyer would give you as to where the law currently stands. I think I have laid out a good analysis of how the Court will review future NCAA Regulations, but ultimately it is up to the Court and Congress to sort the mess out.

But you keep insinuating that YOU know how this all plays out....
Best explanation. Suggesting that the NCAA has realistic wiggle room to take back control is denial in liquid form. 9-0 decision from a Court with divisive philosophical difference is glaring.

Business of Football: Supreme Court Sends Message to NCAA

Again, can you read?

In the article you sent, another attorney (Andrew Brandt) said:
In a 9–0 unanimous decision, the Supreme Court upheld the lower court’s decision that NCAA restrictions on “education-related benefits” for college athletes violated antitrust law. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion in favor of the plaintiffs, albeit a narrow decision dealing only with education-related benefits and not the larger issue of pay-for-play or other big-picture issues with college athletes.

So once again, the same point I have repeatedly made to you, and you do not seem to grasp is that SCOTUS has not ruled on NIL, leaving that ability for the NCAA open.

You seem to have a hard time grasping that SCOTUS has only ruled in regards to educational benefits, not NIL. And I have repeatedly said that they have not, because they have not. I asked for the case that directly dealt with NIL and you pointed me back to O'Bannon, which does not address NIL. So keep believing that you know how this all plays out, and the NCAA is toothless. Just don't be surprised when the NCAA enacts NIL regulations - I tried to warn you.

Louisville vs A&M and Arkansas vs North Caroline will be nice to watch.

Some damn good matchups there. I hope East Carolina gets past Texas...as good as that EC program is and has been, they've never been to Omaha; would like to see them finally make it. Arky and NC should be a great series, along with Auburn and OSU.

Found this little guy on the grill this eve.

Nothing that happens from here will qualify as a "bust".

It's baseball and stupid 💩 happens, especially in the college setup, which is why rhe best teams by far every year very rarely win the CWS.

We will never see a Tennessee team like this again, and I will not let my feelings of appreciation toward them be changed one whit by not winning it all.

How many whits will it change when they win the CWS? 🤔

The real let down will be when Arch ends up riding the pine as a backup QB in the NFL. Peyton Manning is the one and only real QB in the Manning family. Eli done pretty good for a few years, but was ultimately just a mediocre QB, IMO. Arch isn't even on Eli's level. JMO

EB should be an automatic. One of the top safeties to ever play college football.

All 4 should be automatic.

I was a student when Willie Gault was there. It seemed like he was constantly housing a punt return or kickoff return. He was a master of catching the bomb for a touchdown too.

I don’t remember seeing the whole team do this before, but I like it.

My boys and I were playing some baseball in the front yard this weekend. My 10 year old did this on second base. His mom asked, “what are you doing?” He said, “Gilbert does it every time he gets a double.” He then proceeds to yell at his younger 7 year old to do the same thing when he got a triple. I teared up a little bit that day.
