We helped that guy all night long. Refused to lay off the slider. Bailed him out time after time swinging at non-strikes. Add in a crap ump that we seem to get 3/4 games and you get what we have seen.

Time to be more disciplined at the plate.

Who said the moment was too big. They've not played a schedule this grueling in their lives.

Two other thoughts, 1) the Vol pitchers have been used to being ahead so the other teams tend to press and chase pitches and 2) only Tidwell has pitched in the post season. Think the other starters are feeling the pressure, Post season experience is very important this time of year

Just no consistency in the college game. Same pitches being called differently.

It’s a lot different calling the game behind the plate than is our viewpoint from home…. That ball is traveling 86-100 mph and can move 8-10 inches…. I saw one bad call that I completely disagreed with and several that could have went either way… I don’t feel like he has done a horrible job.
