War in Ukraine

All of this talk about NATO being able to run Russia out of Ukraine... if they had they will to do so. Now that is a very outrageous idea. Because on the one hand, we are being told that Russia is ethnically cleansing Ukraine and bombing them to the Stone Age and that the West stands United to defend the state of Ukraine... but, NATO doesn't have they will to do anything, even though they have the power to easily swat away the Russians in short order.

Make that make sense
I'd like to ask that of your post actually. Are you using Google Translate?

Yet they took Mariupol in a month against one of Ukraine's better fighting forces, who were entrenched in an urban environment and Russia did so with equal numbers. So we can throw out the military incompetence theory.

Russia is also currently winning the economic war vs the West. So we can throw out the government incompetent theory (which is also doubly rich coming from someone with Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer leading their Federal government currently).

You're just wrong stooge. You seem to think Russia is winning every phase of this atrocity. They are not. They are barely a step ahead of where they were in February and have suffered massive casualties. They are fighting with outdated equipment and untrained "soldiers". They are basically throwing bodies out to the front to absorb bullets and flack. Russia wouldn't have a chance against a real army in a conventional war.
Winning the economic war? Nuts.

That is some Grade A spin right there. Guess what....Ukraine let it happen again...their troops in Severo and Lysy are becoming isolated and unsupplied yet again. And they will suffer the same fate as Azov did in Mariupol.
Feb 24 to March 20th. That isn't spin. Thats fact. Keep trying harder Comrade! Hopefully you won't lose your ration of potatoes and Marlboro red's for your trolling failure.

Because I believe it is a grab of resources.
Both of you obviously did not watch the video I posted.
I'm fully aware of the story with regards to gas reserves in the Black Sea. My point is that long before those reserves were identified, Russia has been going back and forth with The West about the expansion of NATO and in particular the state of Ukraine.

Then let's agree to disagree, and stop responding to me.

Poland signs agreement with Ukraine to deliver 60 Krab 155mm self-propelled howitzers

The main armament of the Krab consists of a 155mm/52 caliber gun which has a burst rate of fire of three rounds per ten seconds. The cannon can fire a wide range of 155mm NATO ammunition with a maximum firing range of 40 km. The vehicle can carry 40 rounds of ammunition that are stored inside the turret and chassis.

Interesting. Poland giving them weapons on the eve of their own invasion of Ukraine.

I disagree. It is always about money and power. What is Putin to gain from this or any subsequent invasion other than bleeding resources and I gotta admit, the CC advocates are giddy.

I was just watching this..

My gawd, the last 10 minutes of that was based on Western propaganda and is already dated/expired. Video looks like it is 5 days old and yet ignored the impact of Europe's failed sanctions and their crawfishing about Russian energy embargoes.

And with all that said, it still doesn't answer the points I made about them not going in to just grab Kazakhstan and why is Ukrainian energy reserves considered a motivating factor when those reserves were only recently found in the past decade while the Russians have been concerned about Ukraine since the break up of the USSR 3 decades ago.

How is it you can sit here and proclaim Russia a victim in all this and at the same time advocate for Iran or other to have nuclear weapons to prevent such a provocation?
You are at a philosophical dead end.

Advocated for them? Really? That is a strong assertion. Think about that for a moment and ask again if I have really been advocating or if I can understand why they or any other country might want to have nukes? I thought I have been pretty clear in saying that having nukes is a deterrent for foreign invasions... no matter if it is an invasion from Russia or the US/NATO or anyone else.

Victim? Again, you are inserting words or thoughts. My main point has always been I understand their line of thinking and their justifications. Obviously in an ideal world, this would have all been resolved diplomatically. But in order for diplomacy to work, you need the parties on both sides to be fair negotiators and willing to make concessions. The West has shown over the last 30 years that they are not fair negotiators when it comes to Russia (or really anyone).

Why the semantics? By your metrics, Ukraine should have nukes now.
