Sorry but I have to disagree with you in this one. The Devil Rays we’re seeking TAXPYER funding and then they turn around and make a very visible and loud donation to an overtly Democrat aligned political action committee ???

How about „anyone who seeks taxpayer money but wants to donate to partisan political campaigns“ for a starter? How would you feel if you were a taxpaying Florida gunowner who watched your taxes go to a multi million earning ball Club rhtbthen turned around basiczhnded that money to a gun control group? Should you be forced to fund your own destruction?

Collectively, taxpayers are not partisan.

I’m guessing Rays fans, players and employees span both sides of the political spectrum.

The person in charge of allocating taxpayers is the textbook definition of partisan.

Just admit you’re cool with government overstepping its bounds as long as your politics align with the government.

Specifically, one of the top tourist destinations on the planet, and a sports team that recently made the World Series.

The Devil Rays are not being deprived of something they have a right to. They were asking for a favor and a handout while insulting the people they wanted to supply the handout. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way

The Rays are being denied funding that was approved the state senate and house, but they “offended” the governor. Can’t piss off the king.

Speaking out against gun violence is insulting, and as a result, the person who was insulted by an organization speaking out against gun violence must veto funding that was previously agreed upon…because a sports team spoke out against gun violence.

Just admit you’re cool with dictators as long as they’re doing your bidding. 😂

Does the Governor have the constitutional power to issue the veto? Does the Legislature have the constitutional power to override said veto? If you newer yes to these questions than you cannot rationally call DeSantis a „dictator“

The Rays should be able to build that new practice facility with their own money. Right? I mean after all if private businesses can do what they want then they shouldn't be relying on government funds on top of that.

These people fail to understand something simple. Desantis represents the people who voted him into office and the residents of the state of Florida. He doesn't represent the Tampa Bay Rays or Disney. Plus the Rays should be focusing on ways to get butts in their seats. You know since they are 27th in average attendance in the MLB.
