Great postNo it isn’t. It’s just baseball. Tennessee needed a grand slam in the 9th to avoid losing to Wright State last year and then cruised to Omaha. Arkansas lost in the Supers to NC State (after winning Game 1 20-2) and they probably had the best team in America.
The greatness of this team has done wonders to add new baseball fans to Volnation. But it has also given them the erroneous impression that this is normal for good teams. It’s not normal, even for the best of teams. And in baseball, slumps happen. Off games happen. Sometimes, it’s just a game and then the team recovers. Sometimes not. But judging what a baseball team will do based on one or two select games just doesn’t work. Truth is, any team can beat any other team on a given night.
So, before I post it in the “Tennessee Vols Tickets” forum, I wanted to make the offer here. My sister is getting married this weekend, so my father who is a season ticket holder will not be able to attend the Regional.
He has two books available for the weekend (i.e. every game). He’s looking to sell them. I told him I’d help find a buyer. The seats are in R3, Row 5. Great seats. If you’re interested, feel free to message me on here or email me at mookiemonstervn@gmail.com.
Just as a heads up, he is not looking to gouge people, but he isnt going to sell at face value. I think his goal is to make enough to just pay off the Super Regional books for next weekend. Let me know if you’re interested and we can talk more.
Any thoughts on how CTV might handle his pitching? Just wondering about strategy for a regional and super regional and level of competition. Do you save Dolly or plan to pull your starters early if the Vols get an early lead?
