Dammit... these Russians dodged another default trap again! They just keep finding ways to pay their debt obligations.

The irony is of course that Russia is not actually unable to service its debt, but that Western creditors led by the US are pushing to not accept the payments, in an ongoing effort to manufacture yet another debt crisis.

As Reuters aptly summarizes of the deeply unusual situation, "Russia is on the cusp of a unique kind of debt crisis which investors say would be a first time a major emerging market economy is pushed into a bond default by geopolitics, rather than empty coffers."

Days ago, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen cautioned following the US move to let its waiver expire that a window existed "to allow a period of time for an orderly transition to take place, and for investors to be able to sell securities."

Not everyone. Europe should be providing the vast majority of the funding to Ukraine, we should be profiting off of the sales to the Europeans. I do fully support the Ukrainians killing **** tons of Russians.

Wow. Looks like the grocery store shelves are full there. I thought they were going back to the dark ages? Then of course you still have people in Russia that actually are self sufficient and live a more traditional lifestyle. More than likely a higher percentage there who live like that than in this country. Posted two relevant videos about that yesterday. Didn't see Putin kicking down their door or oppressing them in any way.
