Perhaps, but I'm saying that's the reason he doesn't get enough love. That, plus his NFL career has been just OK for a first round pick.

If he was putting up double-digit sack numbers every year in the NFL, he'd get more love for what he did at UT, which isn't how it should work but it is. Peyton is loved to the extent he is by UT fans because his NFL career allowed UT to get name-dropped a lot in a positive way and get associated with a NFL superstar/celebrity.
