War in Ukraine

No, you aren't blaming other countries; you are blaming the US ... like we have some united will to go play in other country's affairs. I agree with you that we've often been messing where we shouldn't have been messing. I just disagree that it's a national will; the problem is our "leadership"
Also, I'm not blaming the American people (although we fall too easily for the American exceptionalism propaganda). I firmly place the blame on the leadership. They deserve the blame, but there is blame that should go to us for electing them... although, I'm starting to wonder if we are given much of a choice during these elections when you consider that even in 2016, the stage was set for a Jeb Bush-Hillary ticket and of course, we saw what happened in 2020.

I agree with you that we've often been messing where we shouldn't have been messing. I just disagree that it's a national will; the problem is our "leadership", and the fact that people keep electing the same people and the same types over and over. To "look strong", the clowns we elect use an offense (against us) to get all huffy and go invade somebody. Why would you invade another country because of 9/11 - perhaps to cover for the fact that our leadership has failed for years at national security? I had no problem with driving Iraq out of Kuwait, or helping drive Russia out of Ukraine. Those have an invader and a victim - and they weren't civil wars or insurgencies.
I got no problem with our 9/11 response until it went to Iraq. That was BS. Our execution was **** too

I fully expect the parties saw that things can get out of control and somebody like Trump and people tired of the same old BS can highjack them. You can bet both parties are working hard to fix the leaks and maintain control so that we only get a chance to vote for Idiot A or Idiot B ... and pretend there's a real difference.

Our second major failing on the 9/11 response was not wiping out the entire house of Saud.

As far as Afghanistan we should have just destroyed the place by remote control and been done with it immediately

We already know how Hillary and the gang torpedoed Bernie, but we forget all of the shenanigans the GOP was doing to try to stop Trump leading up to the convention in 2016. Hell, when Jeb got flushed, there was (I think) a serious attempt to get Romney on the ticket.

Mitt Romney's 2016 anti-Trump speech - Wikipedia
Romney went on to predict that Trump would be handily defeated by Hillary Clinton in the general election, should he receive the Republican nomination, and criticized Trump for calling George W. Bush a liar. Romney encouraged Republicans to engage in tactical voting, by supporting whichever of the three remaining rivals – Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, or John Kasich – had the best chance to beat Trump in any given state, thus increasing the chance that Trump would be unable to gain a majority of all delegates selected.

2016 Republican National Convention - Wikipedia
On the afternoon of July 18, 2016, a group of delegates sought to force a roll-call vote on the proposed convention rules package adopted by the Rules Committee. Some who demanded a roll call vote sought to change the party rules package to "unbind" delegates so that on the first ballot, delegates could "vote their conscience" and conceivably block Trump from being nominated on the first ballot; such a move would also "allow Trump opponents a platform to argue against" Trump. Others demanding a roll call vote were seeking to reform party rules to decentralize power from the RNC and make changes for the 2020 primary process.

Russia isn't giving up the eastern and southern area. Ukraine had the opportunity to negotiate a settlement with the Minsk II ceasefire agreements and still maintain their country. But instead, NATO put a battery in their backs and assured them that NATO was behind them and would support them if Russia did anything. NATO had no serious intentions as of now to do nothing more than just flood the area with weapons and empty their old stockpiles. They don't have the stomach, for now at least, to put a significant number of NATO boots on the ground outside of military advisors.

NATO (or anyone that wanted to help directly intervene) in the beginning was sat down very quickly with threat of nuke war by Russia. To say nobody had their back is not true. There is truth in saying that nobody had their back when the cost was nuclear war.

So James Baker did promise not to expand NATO, He admits that NATO is an offensive military alliance (not defensive), that Russia did want to join NATO in order to keep is a defensive alliance, and we cannot be trusted when we sign treaties.

It's sad when Jimmy Dore, who is actually a comedian, is a better journalist than 95 % of so called journalists.

LMAO. So anyone who speaks negatively about government of Ukraine or questions the "official" ministry of truth narrative must be a paid Russian shill, Pootin Stooge, pushing Russian state media propaganda, etc?
Nope. But when they admit to being that..it usually means they are. This guy has stated he presents a "pro Russian" "pro Putin" viewpoint..

The GOP establishment succeeded in running a smear campaign and bringing out false allegations against Herman Cain. Which led to him withdrawing from the race. He would have won against Obama.

OK, so you didn't actually watch the video, because that is precisely what he said as one of their mistakes.
He said the support didn't materialize because Kiev was coercing local authorities with death threats.
Not sure why anyone would be surprised with a government being upset about actual treason. But Lira was supposed to die. He told the world that he would. He wasn't even scratched. The dude who moved to Ukraine to ****, who becomes a "journalist" ranting into the æther about the evils in Kiev (during an invasion against them) lives.

Instead we sell weapons to Saudi Arabia. This is what happens when politicians bow down to the altar of the military industrial complex.

Well there are people who voted for Hillary and Biden. And there is people who would have voted for Jeb.

Notice how the Bush clan and their posse went after Manafort and Stone for supporting Trump.

I've actually read that Russia and the DPR forces were actually outnumbered about 5 to 1 in this conflict. This is probably accurate. Keep in mind this is without Russia using their full naval or air power yet.
There is no way he has 700,000 new soldiers right now...

Now we have 700,000. So what you see is the result of the work of 700,000 people who are fighting and defending our territory.”

So you and him agree that Russia overestimated the support they would receive? You may not agree with his assumption as to why, but just wondering what your issue is.

Or is it just a reason for you to engage in personal ad hominem attacks on him? I thought you were above that.

Uhh huh...

The Lviv clock is officially ticking. Countdown until it is annexed by Poland...
It's coming... Looks like Poland isn't just making a move for Lviv. Looks like they are possibly just going to try to gobble up whats left after Russia gets the east and south.

Ukraine, Poland agree on joint customs control to ease movement of people, goods

"The Polish-Ukrainian border should unite not divide," Duda told lawmakers as he became the first foreign leader to give a speech in person to the Ukrainian parliament since Russia's Feb. 24 invasion.

Most Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war, have crossed to the European Union through border points in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. Poland has granted the right to live and work and claim social security payments to over 3 million Ukrainians.
