Because the law stated that he was required to keep this particular property safely stored and secured.
But what should be the obvious difference is the rape victim was assuming all of the risk, where the gun owner's behavior was increasing the risk to others.
Because society has rightfully concluded that a unsecured gun represents a greater risk than an unlocked car or a knife in a house.I mean you would still be okay with the killing of any offspring that were to develop in her from this coupling so I can’t claim she’s the only victim.
But I also challenge the idea that there is a risk to others. If you leave your keys in your car, that’s a not a crime yet I could kill many with your car. If you don’t lock the door to your home, I could kill plenty with a kitchen knife.
Why specifically is being the victim of gun theft bad when being the victim of any other crime is not? There’s an implied guilt that you don’t seem to have for other victims
US 6.3 per 100,000
Comparable counties between 1 and 2 per 100,000.
So about four times higher.

The person’s motor vehicle must be parked in a location where it is permitted to be; and the firearm or ammunition being transported or stored in the motor vehicle must be kept from ordinary observation if the person is in the motor vehicle; or kept from ordinary observation and locked within the trunk, glove box, or interior of the person’s motor vehicle or a container securely affixed to the motor vehicle if the person is not in the motor vehicle.Tell us all the laws that pertain to storing guns at home and in a vehicle.

WTH??? Why would we isolate white? If we calculate the white homicide rate by adding all the columns highlighted (3,011) and dividing by 231.9 million and then multiplying by 100,000 you actually get 1.29 per 100k.
Isn't that the exact range you just provided? Isn't that also lower than Canada despite much greater population density, fewer guns, and more gun laws?

I think that is largely a reflection of economic levels. Break down the other countries by economic levels and we can look at those numbers. I don't think anyone would be surprised that homicide rates correlate with economic levels. Bottom line, the homicide rate in our country is 3 to 4 times higher than comparable countries. If the problem is with guns and/or gun laws shouldn't that problem effect the white homicide rate also? Why would it be equal to countries with strict gun control in the 1-2 range?

I didn't avoid it. I said it's an economic thing. You are basically saying let's take out a large portion of our economically disadvantage and compare our economically advantaged to the totals of other countries. You 100% evaded the question. If gun control is the problem, shouldn't the white homicide rate be higher than that of these "comparable" countries you mention?
Why is it in line with or even less than them despite the most guns in the world and extremely liberal laws?
If your claims of all these mass shootings and the problem of white mass shooters specifically is real, how is the white homicide rate on par with all those other countries?
It's almost as if your narrative is falling apart.

Compare our lowest economic 20% to their lowest economic 20% if you are looking for some breakdown beyond just totals.
