One of the world's most fearsome snipers is set to join the fighting in Ukraine after answering President Volodymyr Zelensky's call for foreign volunteers to help defeat Russian invaders.

The marksman, known only by his nickname 'Wali', hails from the Royal Canadian 22nd Regiment and has previous combat experience from fighting in the Kandahar theatre during the Afghanistan War between 2009 and 2011.

The 40-year-old later took it upon himself to travel to Iraq in 2015 to help fight the Islamic State's forces.

In June 2017, one of his comrades reportedly shot dead an Islamic State terrorist from an incredible distance of 3,450m - more than two miles away.

It has been widely reported that a member of the Royal Canadian 22nd used a McMillan Tac-50 rifle to fatally shoot an Islamic State terrorist in 2017 from more than two miles away - a 'world-record' for the longest ever kill shot.

So instead of having this resolved peacefully 7-8 years ago after Minsk agreements, there should be credit given for them fighting to the bitter end and to the last Ukrainian for the same (or far worse) outcome?

Doing business with the US has become a lot more dangerous after the debacle of these sanctions. The US destroyed confidence in the current system and is the biggest self-inflicted wound of The Biden Administration (which is saying a lot).

This hasn’t been a walk in the park for Russia, either. But hey, let’s continue to put all the blame on Zelensky and a mythical conspiracy perpetrated by western intelligence agencies.

Well obviously, I can't be placing all of the blame on 3elensky since he wasn't involved in the Minsk agreements in 2014-2015. With regards to the "conspiracy" claim, it is widely understood that the Obama State Department and the current State Deparment are heavily involved in micromanaging Ukraine. To even dispute that bare minimum caim is either delusion or an attempt to gaslight.
