War in Ukraine

What are you talking about. I said several countries interfered with the ukraine including Russia. But the Ukrainian people were the ones who chose to throw out their president with over 70% of the vote. It STILL doesn’t justify Russia’s invasion
I'm just cracking a joke because there's at least one big brain in here that says the US interfering in Ukraine's political situation is not true/Russian media fabrication.

To me interfering in elections abroad, as we do all the time (and very publicly) is just the shady side of "war". Hot wars are obvious and catch attention and result in immediate loss of life. Economic and political wars have long term consequences and destruction that is less obvious and require a longer attention span than the average American has to see the impact. I wish people would resist US meddling abroad like they do hot wars.
US “meddling” no matter how exaggerated still doesn’t justify Putin’s invasion. That’s the point. This isn’t a pro US or West stance. It’s simply stating that Putin as an aggressor here is wrong and that his “de nazifying” excuse was a lie

I'm not trying to justify it, don't know why you're commenting at me like that.

I am laughing because it's common knowledge we're involved but there's a guy in here that says that is Russian propaganda. No more, no less.

Vote? What vote?

Interfering in politics is NOT the same as idiots like Ras saying the US regime changed the ukraine when in 2004, Russia attempted to poison the last Ukrainian president lol

US. Regime. Changed. Ukraine.

Yes, it does. Especially when you add in the 8 years of attacks on Donbas.

The US would have done the same in Mexico and Cuba.
Ok nurse killer. Whatever you say. It’s clear you aren’t even interested in doing anything but regurgitating the same three Russian state talking points. You can’t even bring yourself to say that Putin should stop the invasion and quit killing innocents.
this is why no one here takes you seriously, you say the same thing over and over and ignore actual objective facts

We do a lot of that as well though. Didn't we go in after Gaddafi, and Hussein, and Al-Assad, and tried to do it in Cuba and Nicaragua and the Dominican? It's not got much to do with Ukraine but Americans have virtually no moral ground to stand on when our government does the same stuff. If you can't trust government in domestic issues you definitely can't trust them on international ones.

I don't care that Putin invaded Ukraine. I've been that way all along. We don't need to be involved. We definitely don't need to keep funneling billions there. Plus we all know what the next step is.

Right, that explains why we toppled the Cuban dictatorship.
The US made many attempts to overthrow Castro in the 1960s and 1970s. WTF are you talking about?

Castro survived in spite of US attempts to kill or overthrow him, not because the US chose to take some moral stand. Stop gaslighting.

I’m not even arguing for US involvement. This whole thread is because two Soviet mouthpieces and one dim fry cook can’t even admit to basic truth because they hate the West and the US so much they will believe anything their Soviet friends will tell them no matter how ridiculous. But their past conspiracy theory posts here on other topics belie their mental illness

And yet, they're still there, and the US has made no attempt to remove them militarily since then, despite the fact that we easily could. Making your point a feeble attempt to justify Russia's invasion.

You mean the facts, rather than the Western media/White House talking points?

😂😂😂😂😂😂 conspiracy nutjob again Ras. 19 million Ukrainians voted in that election.
Do you think our elections here were right, though? USAID does "democracy" work setting up the machine all over the world- I've seen it firsthand. They were doing "democracy" activities in Ukraine at the same time as that 2014 election and whatever revolution they called it that I can't remember.

Lots of recent elections in South America (where the US "aid" machine was involved, including Peru which my wife and I watched very closely) followed the same pattern as some of Ukraine's "free and fair" elections, and the same thing we saw here in 2020. It's perfectly reasonable to question elections and US involvement everywhere in the world. I am not saying it's justification for invasion, but I am saying that you can't really argue that all their elections are fair without asking questions about them.

I don't think questioning elections in a provably corrupt country used as a money laundering front by American elites (Burisma, Hunter's "art", etc.) is a fringe, propaganda-driven conspiracy theory. Ukraine is a dirty, dirty place.

Doesn't that just burn your ass Ras?

Not Ras, but it chaps my ass. How dare a company put a donation on your bill. If I or anyone else wants to donate to something, we can do that if we want. This is just as bad as Walmart or other stores asking you to donate to something, then they hold the donations until the end of the year, and then they donate in their name to get a tax write off. F all of those business that do that!!!

LOL... WTF??? Are you really this dumb?

Bay of Pigs Invasion - Wikipedia
To be fair, I meant to say "since those assassination attempts", and I was specifically referring to our own military.

In any case, you're comparing widely condemned US actions from more than a half century ago to justify your leader's actions. Because that's all you have.
