Can’t underestimate a man’s work ethic. The dude has been grinding since he got to the minor leagues, I just always thought the K’s would be an issue.

Can’t underestimate a man’s work ethic. The dude has been grinding since he got to the minor leagues, I just always thought the K’s would be an issue.

He's always going to be a high K guy...the potential problem I saw based on his first 350 ABs or so was that he was just up there hacking. No real approach, easily fooled by off-speed stuff, etc. Would hit 30 HRs but have limited on-base skills and holes everywhere in his swing. Instead he 100% developed into a professional hitter and it's been awesome to see.
