How does Putin rank lives by value?

Do you rank them all equally?
Does the loss of someone you know bother you more than the loss of someone you do not know?
Does the loss of a child bother you more than the loss of an 89 year old?
Does a tornado resulting in 6 deaths in your community bother you more than if it happens on the other side of the country?
Does a UT fan facing tragedy bother you a little more than an Ohio State fan facing tragedy?

Why does the US care if Russia controls Ukraine? It changes nothing for us. Involving ourselves in Ukraine not only doesn't help the average American citizen it is making their economic life worse.

It is making the Europeans' lives worse. And they are the ones following the Americans' lead in all of this when they have the most to win/lose in all of this.

It is a clown show by the West when taking a little bit of humble pie and negotiating fairly with Russia is the easy solution. But at this point, I think the door is closed shut on restoring relations with Russia in the next 50 years. This will never be forgotten.
