War in Ukraine

Oddly, the "real" reporters seem to be located in Lviv and Kyiv away from the action, but this propagandist has boots on the ground in Donbas and Mariupol.
It makes perfect sense. He’s shilling for the invading bastards so he’s safe. Holy hell that’s obvious to anybody paying attention Moe.

The Russians are really pushing the Final Solution to the Human Question quite consistently.

While mowing yesterday and letting my mind roam. I had the thought about Russian disinformation and "causing people to vote for Trump". My view is it was a lot of nonsense, but what if Putin came out with "elect so and so, or I will nuke you"? Now that I would say is meddling in our affairs, and the real quandary is what could you do about it.

Our younger generation would vote in droves for the “so and so”.

Per DailyKOS:

If you’re wondering, “what’s going on with that push to the west of Izyum, in the wrong direction of their stated objectives?” Well, the answer is nothing! Did it run out of gas? Was it abandoned? Who knows! What we do know is that after a couple of weeks of increased op tempo, Russia has suddenly gotten really quiet the last couple of days. Not only has it been unable to deliver the promised and feared massive offensive, its current efforts are fizzling out.

The Pentagon says logistics are a big part of the problem, “The Russians have not overcome all their logistics and sustainment challenges, and we assess that they're only able [to] sustain several kilometers or so progress on any given day.” Thing is, Russia isn’t even moving a couple of kilometers per day. They’re stuck.

Hey @volgr! When's your Russian invasion gonna start? Getting tired of all the waiting, comrade!

Ras, independent journalists aren't allowed in Luhansk or Donetsk or any other russian controlled region of ukraine...the guy rides around on russian equipment with russian soldiers.
So? Have you seen his reporting? Are you saying it is staged or fake?

Spent a month in the south of France in the late 90’s. For the most part the people were great except Parisians I think they’re mostly assholes. But I’d come across an occasional ******* that scoffed at my obvious American background. One or twice to the bad ones I’d ask “sprechen sie deutsch” to which they always answered an indignant NO! Which I then replied in English “you’re welcome” and walked off.

Best retort to the French has been attributed to two people, LBJ or his Secretary of State, Dean Rusk. The way I heard it is that de Gaulle tells LBJ he is closing up all US military facilities in France. LBJ asks him "do you wants us to remove the cemeteries as well?" (The American cemeteries from WW 1 and 2.)

DeGaulle got the last laugh. When he asked for France's gold back, he was told, "The dollar is as good as gold." And he replied back, "Then give me gold.". His decision to pull back France's gold (based on info he was seeing from the flow of USD from Viet Nam showing up in France) was the catalyst for him asking for it back and resulted in the closing of the gold window being "temporarily" closed by Nixon on August 15, 1971.

What minute and second mark in the most recent report of his do you disagree with?

I guess I'll add you to the ministry of truth along with Double D and Python.
Ricky calls Zero Hedge a propaganda site when all they mostly do is mirror or repost news stories from other mainstream sites.

While some of the French are pissy those cemeteries are maintained immaculately. My wife took a trip to France with her mother and sister and they visited the Normandy cemetery. And she said the grounds keepers treat the area as hallowed ground.

I was over there working with Eurocopter. One day at lunch it came up that my father had participated in the Normandy invasion. I Company 12th Regiment 4th Infantry. 2nd wave on Utah beach. They got quiet for a moment when I told them that and they all asked that I thank him and they sent their regards. It was kinda awkward but they were sincere no doubt.

As usual it’s normally just a few asshats acting out and you gotta try to not hold it against all of them. And regardless Parisians are just rude assholes still.
