War in Ukraine

Then how would we buy influence?
How many of our most important domestic problems can be solved by spending more money?
How much of our budget is for foreign aid? Does every dollar of foreign aid negate the same amount of domestic spending?
Does that include humanitarian relief?

The first one is key. The Soviet Union spent years buying "friends" around the globe and destabilizing continents or parts of. China is doing the same right now, and our Chinese trade is funding it. When you are one of the big three, you pretty much have to match the competition; our problem is we generally suck at it because we do it with political appointees rather than people who could learn and understand how to play the game effectively - read The Ugly American. Our system is better than the alternatives, but this thing of two and four year planning when you really need long term strategies is hurting us. Meanwhile the kiddies like France, Germany, and so on are making bundles selling weapons and technologies detrimental to what we are trying to accomplish ... stuff like nuclear technology to Iran, biolabs to China, and armaments to all with cash.

People said the same thing back when gas stations were full service. Then automation killed a low skilled job.
Obviously you've never seen a hose come out of the ass end fill tank and pollute the hemisphere. Conservatives that pollute the air with cow farts and drive their tractors spewing black smoke are killing this planet, OMG.

The Ukrainian Special Force - Agricultural Division is killing the earf with all those Ruskie tanks they keep stealing.

Nah. Boots on the ground since March American MI works good enough for me.
Absolutely no way the CIA and special forces haven’t been embedded since prior to the invasion. I worry about the SOCCOM guys but leave the CIA over there gives them something to do so they don’t get bored and start screwing with the citizens.

I have a "friend" who looks like a "younger version of me" who was over there for a month and a half. Kind of ran out of things to do once Russia began their "tactical rape/torture/war crime retreat". Dropped some interesting intel about Russia, pretty hilarious. Essentially any dead the Russians aren't leaving behind they are legit going the mobile crematorium route which has made current estimates much lower than reality.

Spent the weekend fishing some sh!tty ponds in Florida and actually snagged some big ass bass. I realized that using a bait caster isn't my forte as my "friends" "kid who looks like a much younger skinnier version of me" out caught me with a kiddy fishing pole.

I’d guess there is already a long list of people on both sides that will forever just be known as “missing - presumed deceased”. Not shocked at all on the mobile crematorium info that fits their profile to a T

Oh on the bait caster check out the Shimano Curado DC. It’s got electronic braking. I own four of them now. There is one model a little cheaper I think it’s the SLX DC? But I have no patience for bait casters as this point in my life. On all four of them I load them up with 40lb braid set the brake on 2 I believe and never touch it again. Compared cast distance to my buddy with his Curado K’s and I’m not giving up any distance.

Ukraine has already captured nearly a battalion's-worth of these

Now they're getting more SPGs

I can't imagine how the Ukrainians made off with a functioning piece of armor. Did the crew just get out and run off? Maybe the Ruskies pulled over for a circle jerk and a Uke private just drove off with it.

As an Air Force vet I have no idea what that means.
Self-Propelled Gun battery usually consists of eight SPGs. A battalion consists of 2-6 batteries.

Ukraine has captured around three batteries of 2S19s alone, not even counting the older 2S1 and 2S3 SPGs they've captured.

2S1 122mm SPG:

2S3 152mm SPG (We called this one Squidward in OSUT):

Oh, they've also captured quite a few BM-21 Grads while being fully-loaded:

'I happen to live with a clinical neurological psychologist, my wife who has spent 30 years dealing with people who have had degenerative brain diseases.'
