Honestly, it was a dumb fight for Disney too. Both parties engaged in a fight that is inconsequential to their own interests. This simulation sucks. That's all we can say.

So one could quite validly argue that the special session of the legislature revoking Disney’s self governing status is actually the people punishing Disney as you recommend. If the people disagree, they can vote out the representatives next election. Isn’t that the basic theory of a representative democracy after all?

Just imagine if our government decided to make important commodities national commodities rather than world commodities. We have that here. Energy, food production, the fourth largest population, technology, REM, etc.
So why is this great and massively blessed nation such at the whims of being able to be self preserverent to the whims of any minor disruptions or enemy initiative?

While I am NOT a Ronnie fan, he is very much a smarter, smoother Trump. So depending on your views, that is either thrilling or chilling.

BINGO. And as a conservative I can say that it gives me concerns. I like everything he says and does; but something about it seems too forced and too calculating. Ambition is seeping out of the man’s very pores. But if he gets the nomination, I have to vote for him. The nation cannot survive an additional four years of Sloppy Joe

They tried to stay out of it. It wasn't until they started having the employees revolt and disrupting operations did they weigh in with a statement. Even then, many believed it was too little too late.

Desantis is canceling them over the statement to send a message.

😂 Speaking of tax exempt, the folks liking near Disney may soon see their taxes skyrocket when police and fire services provided by Disney disappear. Let alone the special assessment they'll get to repay the bond.
