TN Commit David Oku

I like this kid (football skills) but he has to get his straight. I know he has mentioned family problems, and that can be tough, but there has been drama following Oku around for months now.

Rumor on VQ is that Brian Butler, aka the "advisor for Bryce and Oku" doesn't have OKU listed as being intrested in UT on his website.
My bad. Dont know what I was thinking there guys, to many nattys. Dont freak out!

Which isn't big news at all.

Lame - we don't even have RB really... we have a FB in this class. What's Oku's problem? Giles was a big time talent as well - and didn't seem to have a problem with competition when they were both committed. So what if we sign another RB? It's not liked we signed 4 or so like Auburn.

signing 4 running backs is diffrent then signing the best running back prospect in the last 5years... i dont know what oku is going to do but he is in contact with butler and brown so if we get brown oku history imo but we will get oku if brown goes somewhere else

oku stated in that article that we are still on his list.... so who's word do you take

Who knows. I like OKU but I'm tired of his high school drama. I think he is wanting to see where Bryce Brown goes, but who knows.

I think he ends up at Auburn due to him not being able to get into UT. He supposedly has family issues so I can't hate on him for that. Any reason other ...then he is a head case.

is Oku the one who has a father serving in Iraq?
If so I am willing to cut him a little more slack, sure it is stressful

I have to think Brown is likeing UT alot, it makes no sense for Oku to back off UT. Auburn has a boatload of rb's, nobody wants to play football in NY, and TN didnt even sign a rb. I dont care who we get, Id rather have charles than either one of these drama queens.

No guarantee we land him - no reason to drop us already. Even the best RBs split time in this era. You usually want to have 2 guys.

I'm tired of both of these cats--good grief: do the research and make a friggin' decision. Practically every senior in America has made a decision but these goofs. I'm not impugning these guys specifically, but these are precisely the TYPE of guys that tend to have problems once they get to college--don't go to class, attitude problems, want to transfer if things don't go well. I'm quite sure Butler as his eye on becoming Brown's agent, if he succeeds in college--so watch: wherever he decides to go to school, this loser/hanger-on will follow: I'm sure the coaches will enjoy that! Is he coming to Ktown with Brown?

You should really do some research before starting rumors. That list is old and doesn't reflect Oku's current schools.

I don't think he was referring to the list - he said that Butler had said Oku dropped TN - not that we weren't on their cheesy website list anymore.

He has said today that he might throw Nebraska back in the race. I think he just likes the spotlight and that doesn't look good. To T.O.- oish to me.

I like the speed they say Brown has. Do we really have a legite chance with him?

I know exactly what he was referring to and considered it carefully prior to my reply. All I am saying is that he should have given the matter equal consideration. Oku has not dropped UT and Butler did not say such.

It would only make sense for him to pick up someone else new or closer to home if he thinks Brown is coming here.... Auburn runs the spread and signed a ton of RBs, Syracuse is overall crap, and he doesn't want to play with Brown (although would be dumb to go ahead and drop TN without knowing the outcome).
